Bespoke Celebrations of Life - Funeral Celebrant

When a loved one passes away, I will work with you to create a bespoke, personal tribute and service dedicated to the person who has passed and their family.

I'll present this at the funeral and assist the funeral director to ensure all goes to plan

My most recent reviews from the beautiful families I have connected with recently

Sandra

Excellent service from beginning to end. Paula is a lovely woman and listened to everything i said, paid attention to every detail and gave the perfect tribute for my dear brother Neil. Would highly recommend.

Daniel

I'd like to thank Paula for service she did for my Mum recently. All the feedback we've had has been positive.

After the passing of my Father in January 2023 we were introduced to Paula for my father’s celebration of life funeral. Paula is extremely professional and really made us feel like we have known her for years. She went above and beyond to make my father’s funeral extra special with little touches along the way Gin and Tonic of which my father loved. She listened and really got to know us very well and my father, her way of words was fantastic and my dad was fluent in Spanish, Paula took the time to learn Spanish herself for the speech and slipped in little words which was amazing. I couldn’t praise her enough! We are so so grateful for everything you did for us, my father would have been very grateful aswell. Thank you so much and sorry it’s taken so long to review but you’ll never be forgotten by our Family. On behalf of all of my family Thank you!

Michelle

After the death of my husband Tony I was at a loss as to what to do or say, (having never arranged a funeral before) Paula was very professional and understanding, and she gave a lovely service, she did and said everything I asked for if not more.
I was so very thankful for all her help at a very difficult time in my life.
Thank you Paula x

Shared from another fellow celebrant's page.
The post has some important points that all should be aware of.

Each service I create is unique, personal and dedicated to the loved one who has passed and their family.

How can a service be this way if you do that many each week?

A beautiful place to say goodbye to your loved ones with the assistance of Tom and his amazing team.

Just a little clarity for some who don't understand...

19/11/2023

When you remember me, it means that you have carried something of who I am with you, that I have left some mark of who I am on who you are. It means that you can summon me back to your mind even though countless years and miles may stand between us. It means that if we meet again, you will know me. It means that even after I die, you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart.
For as long as you remember me, I am never entirely lost. When I'm feeling most ghost-like, it is your remembering me that helps remind me that I actually exist. When I'm feeling sad, it's my consolation. When I'm feeling happy, it's part of why I feel that way.
If you forget me, one of the ways I remember who I am will be gone. If you forget, part of who I am will be gone.

Let your grief be what it is.

Be still.
In the quiet, listen.

I know it’s painful.
And, it’s not just physically painful - it’s an aching deep within your Soul.

It’s savage.

Grief rips you open with its bare hands.

It’s gutting.

But,
Feel it - anyways.

Allow yourself to feel it to the depth of you - then further.

Learn it.
Become fluent in your grief.

It will lead you where you need to go.
Trust the process.

Grief becomes a little less disorienting with distance.

Hindsight helps.
Grief isn’t an exception to this adage.

And, once your grief becomes less wild and bewildering you can begin to consider reengaging in your life again. And, this is when the real heavy lifting begins.

It was a privilege to honour and celebrate the life of a much- loved Husband, Dad and Grandad earlier in the week as we said a gentle farewell to this special gentleman at Mansfield & District Crematorium alongside Kerry and her team from Co-op Funeralcare

The death of each of us is in the order of things:
It follows life as surely as night follows day.
We can take the Tree of Life as a symbol.
The human race is the trunk and branches of this tree,
And the individual men and women are the leaves which appear one season, flourish for a summer and then die.

We are all like a leaf on this tree and one day we will be torn off by a storm or simply decay and fall,
Mingling with the earth at the tree's roots.
While we live, we are conscious of the tree's flowing sap and steadfast strength, Conscious that we are part of a collective life, to which we make a minute but unique contribution.

When we die and fall, the tree remains,
Nourished to some small degree by each of us.
Millions of leaves have preceded us and millions will follow,
But the tree itself grows and endures.
