Autumn so far….🍂🍁🥮

As it is soon to be the Harvest festival, the children at little Willows and I, are giving and taking donations for Bassetlaw foodbank!
If anyone would like to contribute you can drop off tins, cereal, dried food etc, at 18 yew tree and I will add the food to our collection. Food will be donated Wednesday 9th October 2024.

Another week of learning new skills here at Little Willows.
We…..
Put up a tent and had a fun camping afternoon
Learned how to sew
Did some fishing with the nets
River play in the woods
Met and fed the Alpacas
Visited the beautiful Poppy field in the village
Collected woodland treasures
Tree rubbing
Tie dying
Black berry picking
… and so much more❤️

School Holidays week 1 😎☀️
Olympics, sports, arts and craft, water fun, dens, walks, parks, food prep, painting, paddling pool, slip and slide, new friends, tuff trays, stories, exploring and so much more 🏅💙❤️

You know your a childminder when part of the day consisted of breaking up a fight between two 3 year olds over who was going to carry the imaginary baby 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

🫘Jack and the Bean stalk 🌱
On the last day of half term, we read Jack and the bean stalk!
We used our cutting skills to make our own bean stalks. We went for a walk and used little Jack steps and big Giant steps. We used our imaginations in the story tray, and made a den to hide from the giant! We baked buns and decorated them with magic beans and we also had magic bean yoghurts to see if they made us grow!
We had a fab half term!

Half term- Day 2
Cinderella 👡👑🌸
Continuing our traditional tales theme, yesterday we had a princess day, focusing on the book Cinderella!
We painted and made a model castle, played in the jeweled playdough, dressed up as princesses, had a tea party snack on the lawn, visited clumber park and explored the buildings, in which we talked about lords and ladies who may have once lived there. Also whilst at Clumber, we visited the old stables and exercised the dukes horses for him!
Another fabulous day in the bag… let’s see what today brings

Half term day 1
The Three Billy Goats Gruff🐐🐐🐐🧌
We listened to the story today and answered simple questions about the story.
We had fun problem solving in the story tray! How will the goats get across the water?
We coloured goat pictures and learned the concepts, big, medium and small.
We walked to Stoney bridge in the village to role play our story! There was some very loud goats and some very scary trolls! 🧌
To finish the day we made some troll puppets with the paints and craft resources!
It’s been a fab day all round, despite the rain ☔️
