Thank you to everyone who has been asking about our Ukrainian crew both at home and who are on board. So many of you have been speaking to those working on the ships and asking them how they and their families are doing and that means so much.
Some of them have reached the end of their contracts but obviously cannot return home.

We have arranged for some of the Ukrainian crew to be flown to neighbouring countries like Poland and Romania so they can try and reunite with loved ones but for many this is not possible. These countries are taking in hundreds and thousands of refugees and it is quite an extraordinary humanitarian operation

It has also been extraordinary to read the offers from guests who have written to me saying they have a spare room at their home and how they would love to welcome any of our Ukrainian crew to come and stay with them without charge, to feed them and keep them safe until they can indeed return home. This is truly remarkable and is yet another shinning example of how true the words “ Carnival Family” are.

My sincere thanks to everyone who has offered and I have sent these details to the beards to see if this is possible. If you would like to offer the same welcome please let me know below.
The war continues.

The evil that is Putin will only be remembered in Russia as the man who made Russians kill Ukrainians and destroyed their cities and turned Ukraine against Russia. The Russians may not know that now, but they will in time and his legacy will be that and only that. At some point those around him will start realising this and the toppling of him will start . We can only hope … and rely on the Ukrainians to keep doing what they are doing.
