“Restoration of a French style helmet from the early 1800s - parts for this kind of helmet are scarce, and costly to source - for the crest I used 2 fluffy red scarves, and for the jewelled bandeau, a vintage velvet cummerbund - bought from my local Barnardo's, where I am a regular visitor - always on the hunt to either finish a project or start a new one!”

An amazing effort from the fantastic team in Hornsea yesterday. BarnarDOGs day was a huge success. We raised over £100 with our Guess the Name of the Dog game (the dog was called Bear!) And Glynis raised over £40 on the tombola. Thanks to everyone who came in to visit us and take part.

Thanks to everyone who helped to make our Easter weekend fundraiser a huge success. We made over £130 on our tombola and Guess The Name of the Dog. His name was Oliver!
