Lovely day for it today was really good to see how busy it was.
Hi everyone, cycled through Paradise the other day and it's great to see all the hard work people are still putting in to maintaining it!
Just quick thing to be careful of: There was lots of exposed wood used in some of the jumps. Back in the day when the site was made an official MTB area, one of the big things the council didn't want was any kind of wood being used in jumps and berms, so just a heads up, be worth either taking it out and filling with dirt or cover it up well to keep them on side.
Happy riding

Just a quick one please try and refrain from rolling the double on track 1 as it was ruined when I went up there today I have fixed it, obviously if you can't help it just try and neaten it up again it should be fine after some rain.
Also it's super dry up the so go and do some pedalling.

Hi guys please be aware there is a guy living at the top of track 1 in a tent and is verbally threatening people he also keeps walking up the tracks and doesn't take any notice of the warnings you give him I have reported him to the police but if you see him and he is abusive towards please report it to Sussex Police.
Other than that it's riding lovely up there at the moment great to see loads of people enjoying the tracks get up there and get riding.
Happy trails
Jon
Nice to see people using paradise yesterday despite the deathly conditions. Needless to say the steeps were particularly "interesting" to get down.

General update... been a bit bad at this lately.
Apparently there was a massive party thursday night, probably school kids. The council kindly cleared up for us, they had to get a second truck. So it must have been pretty bad. Bit stuck on what to do about all this, becoming a really tedious. The police dont seem to make any difference.
Dirt jumps: dragging on a bit i know, but the council are chasing up the rospa inspection reports (health and safety inspection ehich happened months back). Once they've got those, then we can chat with them about developing the dirt jump area.. so with a bit of luck that'll be a winter job, including sorting drainage issues. We'll probably post some dig days on our group page when we finally get down to that.
All of the tracks are running pretty well, track 4 needs a bit of tlc in the berms for those who do it, although i gotdown it the other day without too much trouble.
Oh and as always the chalk will represent death after this rain!
Happy riding
Nick
Just a word of warning, the tracks and jumps are likely to be super slippery after all the rain
Nick
Been a while since our last update, work and all that always getting in the way.
Now news yet on the ROSPA inspection results, will update when we have something. Hopefully soon we'll also have time to repair the dirt jumps.

Just a heads up, someone's vandalised the take offs on the big dirt jumps. Can't really fix it til after its rained either. Some people need to get a life...
--Nick
Massive thanks tothe local rangers who've kindly rebuilt the deadhedges for us and replaced the broken sign cover.
As some may know we had a RoSPA inspection this week, so we're waiting the results from that to see what we're allowed do with the unbuilt parts of the dirt jump area... watch this space!

ROSPA safety inspection this week. Fingers crossed we can get the new doubles past them, given the demise of the big Friston dirt jumps.

Soo, began todays friday evening ride with some litter picking. Looks likeit was one hell of a party. Cider, beer, wine, w**d packets, condoms, l**e, and a colouring book. Obviously.
At this point we'd built a mental picture of some young uneducated homeless people in training.
Then we found a page torn out of the colouring book, coloured in complete with a-level newtonian physics equations.
Maybe the w**d proved inspiring, who knows.
Joys of looking after a mountain bike area.

Anyone going up, please watch out for any fallen trees, especially around track 1 and 2. If you find any let us know so we can report it and get it cleared.
