Prints Regent Limited are pleased to act as the exclusive ticket agent for one of our long-standing clients. It's the little things that make all the difference, and just another small way in which we can assist our clients outside of our usual print and design services.

We've recycled our old (v5) website and turned it into a Client marketplace, providing a portal for our clients to sell their products, be they tickets for an event, or their designs turned into merchandise using our print-on-demand service.

We have plenty more products to add to the .uk store in the coming weeks as well as some lovely gift ideas as we head towards Christmas.

If you would like to add your events, designs or other materials to the store, just get in touch. Acting as an agent, we charge a small commission to cover the card payment fees and maintenance to the site.

"Go Paperless", "Go Green" and "Save Trees" are common messages as many organisations encourage their customers to switch to electronic transactions and communications. But are these appeals based on fact? It's very difficult to make such statements without considering the full lifetime of those different mediums.

A client recently opted against having some letterheads printed "to help the environment, I have decided for the time being to use an electronic version".

I'm all for saving money and the planet, but I do have an issue with greenwashing – unsubstantiated and misleading claims about environmental impact.

The concert has an absolutely stellar set list being performed by the extremely talented children from over half a dozen local schools and choirs – from classic seasonal pop tunes that'll get you rockin' in the aisles, to carols that'll stir your soul and may even bring a tear to your eye (for the right reasons)!

Incase you missed it, Prints Regent is now 11 years old.

In the past year we have: grown into larger premises; invested in new equipment to provide more products and in less time; and most important of all, meet and served so many lovely new clients. But it doesn’t end there…

We have more changes planned for the next year, but for now let's focus on this weekend and some potential disruption…

Our Printshop webstore, which we have decided to keep, will get a major upgrade this Friday. Hopefully this will be a seamless transition, and should be fully operational for Monday.

Next up is our new Bexhill workshop. Some of our equipment will be relocating to Bexhill this weekend, and this is something we will be getting ready during the Christmas break. We will still operate a same/next-day service from our Eastbourne HQ. The equipment moving to Bexhill produces some of our 3-day service items, so in theory, from 2024, this timeframe will not change. However, we may struggle to produce certain large-format items (such as signage and outdoor banners) leading up to Christmas.

Thank you one and all for your support over the last year, and for continuing to make every day different. From address labels to building façades, one-offs to 100,000 runs, the endless variety of our work provides a fresh daily challenge. Who doesn't love a good movie, especially if it features someone or somewhere close to your heart?

As some of you will know, my father owned an independent video store through the '80s, so movies played a major role in my youth on both the large and small screen. That's why I'm delighted to be involved with the first ever Sussex International Film Festival (SIFF), who along with Juice Electrical Services - East Sussex, Hailsham FM , Roland Dunn Sales & Lettings and HOPS (Hailsham Old Pavilion Society), we are proud sponsors.

The three-day film festival is hosted by the iconic Hailsham Pavilion - Cinema and Theatre, a gorgeous Grade II listed Art Deco cinema. General Manager Paul Nunney couldn't wait to pose in front of the wall we supplied. Thanks to him and Dan for helping to setup.

Each day of the festival has its own theme. Day One is a selected showcase of films made in Sussex. Day Two is a curated showcase of both mainstream and independent features and shorts, made by Sussex filmmakers. The festival ends on Day Three with the final round of an international shorts competition, judged by a panel headed by Oscar-winning film editor Chris Dickens (Slumdog Millionaire and Les Misérables). Entries can come from anywhere in the world, and there are two categories this year – Best Short Film and Best Student Film.

FREE PERFORMANCE TONIGHT

Actor, producer, director, editor and dear friend of ours, Chard Hayward has written, and will be performing, a 75 minute solo performance tonight at Over 55 Club, 45 Eversley Road from 7.30pm.

The former opera singer has appeared in over 1,000 films and television episodes including: Lost, The Thorn Birds and Babylon 5. Despite all of this success, he held a deep, underlying secret. In 1976 he was diagnosed with major .

Fast forward 45 years to a chance meeting with a renowned English Transformative Coach who passed to Chard what he felt were the secrets to . A philosophy that has brought hope and relief to thousands of people around the world.

In "I Must Remember Not To Kill Myself (And Other Inspirational Stories)" you will meet the characters who have changed Chard's life immeasurably. Funny, moving, and ultimately beautifully uplifting. The performance may even include one of our props 😇

September has been an extremely busy month for us, as you can probably tell by our lack of posts. You're loving our next-day printing service, eye for detail, and going that little bit further to produce an even better end product.

On the subject of going further, not only do we supply Sussex, Kent and London, but this month we have sent orders to Hampshire and Warwickshire. The word is spreading. Sharing is caring.

As the (paper) dust begins to settle for this month, I'd like to take a moment to acknowledge our fabulous and wonderful clients. Not only are we blessed with their regular custom, but they're also an incredibly nice bunch. It's a delight to serve each and everyone of them.
