Challenge Team UK

Challenge Team UK delivers relationships and s*x education.

Young adult presenters are recruited and trained and tour schools explaining why choosing to make friends first and save s*x for a future marriage commitment has many benefits. Delaying s*x is presented as a realistic and positive way to enjoy being young and avoid potential serious harms.

The Challenge Team message in a nutshell ... with much approval ...

We’ve been having s*x for 15 years.

But before that, we waited.

It was hard, but we waited.

The night before our wedding, 15 years ago tonight, was a whirlwind of emotions; we were so excited to finally be married the next day! And amidst the excitement and nervousness, we both had one thing in the back of our minds.

The thing we had been waiting for; the thing we had kept and protected, cherished and fought for. Together and separate, we had saved the gift of ourselves. And our wedding night was finally the night we were going to be able to give each other the love note we had been writing for one another our whole lives.

It was scary. It was exciting. We had no idea what we were doing. And it was so beautiful.

It was the best s*x either of us had ever had. Because it was the ONLY s*x either of us had ever had 😂 And in our awkwardness, it was so worth the wait.

Sweet girl, did you hear me? It was worth the wait. It was worth the years of feeling like I was "missing out." It was worth restraining myself so I could experience everything amazing with just one person. It was worth waiting even when we knew we were in love and thought it was "probably going to happen eventually anyways." It was worth it because God had called us to it. It was worth saying "no" to something pleasurable back then, so I could say "yes" to something better on my wedding night.

It was worth it because I was worth it; he was worth it. Because God calls us to it, and that was the biggest thing that made it worth it. And you are worth the wait, too, sweet friend. The weight of the wait is hard. But it's the best gift you will ever keep and the most precious one you will ever give.

We have lost the idea that love takes time, that love is a process ... that love is a lifelong development and not something found and ready-made. (American philosopher Robert Solomon)
