Dear All,
As we approach the summer holidays, we wanted to provide an important update regarding our sessions. In past years, we have experienced low attendance during this period and have thus opted to cancel sessions. We recognize, however, that some of you still wish to attend these sessions.
To accommodate everyone, we will keep the sessions bookable on our EEQU page. Sessions will run if we have a minimum of 12 participants booked one week before the scheduled date. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we will process refunds and notify you of the cancellation.
This policy will be in effect from the week commencing 29th July until the week commencing 2nd September and is relevant to the following sessions:
- Home Ed Sport & Play: https://eequ.org/experience/2543
- Football 4 All: https://eequ.org/experience/8611
- Basketball 4 All https://eequ.org/experience/2550
All other sessions will be continuing as standard.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we strive to maintain sustainable operations.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. You can book sessions by clicking the links above.
Best regards, Team Defiant

We mention Boccia a lot, but what actually is it? βͺπ΄π΅
If you're familiar with bowls, it's essential a more accessible version of that.
The players are divided into two teams, one who use red balls and the other who use blue. One player is selected to throw the jack (a white ball) on the playing field, then the teams will try to throw their balls as close as they can to the jack. After all the balls have been thrown, the team with their ball or balls closest to the jack will score an amount of points equal to the amount of balls they have closer to the jack than the closest ball of the opposing team.
It sounds quite complicated, but once you see it in action it's super easy and fun.
Please take a look at this great video by explaining the rules with some handy visuals.
If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below.
Come and play boccia at our weekly Boccia & Kurling session, Wednesdays, 1:15pm - 2:45pm at our Inclusion Hub for Β£6 per person. Just show up or book here: https://eequ.org/experience/2552

Hi all,
as we are slowly sifting through all our equipment at the Archery we now need some tasks carried out once again. We are looking for help on Thursday (27th), this week, between 10am - 2pm. Tasks required are:
- Lawnmowing (we have a mower and strimmer)
- painting anti climb paint onto fences (we have paint and brushes)
- rebuilding a garden style trampoline (tools useful! Hopefully we have all the bits!)
- rebuilding a large bike rack
- moving large items around sports court
- filling a skip
- removing plasterboard and old polystyrene from ceilings (mask and goggles useful)
- securing items on building exterior, such as defib case/bike rack etc.
- putting up 3 fence panels (we have fencing/posts/ground spikes) tools required and fixings??
- graffiti cleaned from plastic fascia on upper roof(have ladder, cleaning fluid, gloves)
I may find more by then too!!
If you would like to help with any of the above, please do pop along during these times, do let us know!
Many thanks, Loretta

If not, would anyone else be interested in pitching together to do things like hedge row planting, litter picking and cleaning the gym equipment etc?
