Dave finished making the trellis for my parents this week.

Luckily they only live a small walk away so off he went earlier this week handmade trellis in hand whilst he carried it to them.

They painted it and then off he went this morning carrying his tools.

Hopefully we get a positive phone call today from the garage to say the truck is ok and we can pick it up 🤞🏻

Our work truck is currently at the garage having work done to it.

Fingers crossed we can get it back by the end of this week 🤞🏻

All this beautiful weather and not being able to work is just perfect timing.

We started off with 5 caterpillars.

We lost one in the cacoon process but we got 4 beautiful butterflies who we’ve looked after for several days. Today we released them.

One wasn’t quite ready and ended up landing in our pool so we rescued it and popped him back in the enclosure and will try again tomorrow when he is stronger.

Lily has loved doing this and watching them change day by day. She has run home from school daily to check on her “babies”.

Tonight she is sitting at the table with the one remaining butterfly eating her tea with it so it doesn’t feel lonely without its friends.

Dave built this wooden garden gate / door himself from scratch including the wooden framework.

The cut out section is for the cats to come and go as they please.

We took down and disposed of this shed and shed base and installed a new concrete base.

It’s not something we normally offer but we put up her new shed for her too 😊

Bandit is an old boy now at 12, he is a thyroid cancer surviour

He keeps me company during the day.

The only downside to Bandit is he has learnt where my biscuit drawer is and won’t take no for an answer when I tell him we are all out. I physically have to open every single drawer to prove to him they are empty. I know how dare I let us run out of biscuits.

We’ve had him since he was 6 weeks and 5 days so he is well and truly family

Wow what beautiful weather we’ve been having these past few days, we had almost forgotten what the sunshine looked like.

Big shout out to New Forest Fencing today. Popped down to pick up materials for a job tomorrow and got to see the nearly finished office building they’ve been working on. It’s looking very smart.

Love dealing with this company as they are all so friendly and the office ladies Rachel and Lou always sort us out even with last minute delivery’s.

We’ve had a beautiful few days away as a family down in Weymouth

Yes she’s wearing Christmas leggings, they are comftable 😂😂

Lily has inflamed tonsils again but we saw the dr yesterday and we are finally being referred to ENT to hopefully get them and her adenoids out 🤞🏻
The drs didn’t want to prescribe antibiotics again as she has had them so many times this year (last time was 10th March) so we are playing the waiting game to get them to clear up on their own 🤞🏻

Dave / Daddy isn’t working today as he is helping with the school trip.

The apprentice has out grown her uniform so I’ve had to order her some bigger sizes.

Rash is pretty much gone

The photo doesn’t show it but there is a slight red mark still on cheeks but she is so much better today.

Still has to take the antihistamines

My word has it been a scary few days

Now time to enjoy half term with her

Photo was taken this morning.

Face was a bit more covered 😢

Rash has gone from her feet and she says they dont hurt today and she can walk ok. Yesterday she had issues walking.

Rash was everywhere else but has faded a lot this evening.

Paramedic phoned this morning to check on her and he’s happy with her progress, she just has to stay on the antihistamines for a few more days.

Apprantly this type of reaction to a spider bite is rare so fingers crossed it doesn’t happen again.
