What a rotten time this couple have had. And knowing Jo, she would only asking if this were the last resort. And considering how much Jo Wallace has put into the music that we love through Ramrock etc and how much Ashley has put in by just being Ashley, it is one of those times to dig deep for two very important people.

Next Bodega Latina is on a week on Saturday (10th August) at The Jazz Bar, and it promises to a be a big one!
As it is the Festival it is customary to invite up one of the best salsa DJs on the planet, DJ Lubi Jovanovic (Fania Records) who will be with us from 11.30pm
And as for the LatinaTurners Orq they have just being going from strength to strength and last week went down a total storm. For this one they are have increased their number to a massive 10 piece. So expect a wall of sound from 12.30
All the Bodega Latinas have been selling out and considering that this is right in the middle of the Festival then it is expected to get very busy! So best to buy a ticket in advance.

Many thanks to the Aki Project for a blinding set at Chakalaka Funk-Edinburgh last Saturday to a packed The Jazz Bar, starting off their Festival 2023 with a big bang!

So it makes total sense to have Edinburgh’s funky favourites, The Aki Project with us to see us until the wee small hours at Chakalaka Funk-Edinburgh
It is a late one this time around with doors at 1.30am and Aki and his pals on stage around 2.30!
Late but well worth staying up for!

The Jazz Bar have now got word back abut various things which have allowed them to release one final batch of tickets for The Allergies

That was some night last night with Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio.
Once again they were on fire and went down a storm to a packed The Voodoo Rooms - Bar, Restaurant & Function Rooms in Edinburgh
This was their first visit to Scotland, and from the reaction that they got in both Glasgow and Edinburgh it seems that Scotland has made a BIG impression on them.
So hopefully they will be back!
And many thanks to all involved including AGMP Concerts for making it happen!

If you are out and about in Glasgow or Edinburgh this weekend, really strongly recommend heading down to catch the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio.
All the way from Seattle, I think that this may be the first time in Scotland for a man whose albums have been lighting up the airways and hitting the top spots in the charts for several years now
He himself describes his music as “soul music with a strong jazz influence” which sums him up neatly. Think of organists such a Reuben Wilson, Jack McDuff with a healthy dose of The Meters!
