I'm proud to support British veterans and the British military through yearly donations. My contribution helps Normandy veterans attend the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in France. We were thrilled to be enlisted by Ford Windows to put the finishing touches on a freshly installed window. It was definitely a challenge, but after 6 hours of hard work, we finished off the window with plasterboards, corner beads, and two layers of plaster. 💪✨

And the final touch? A fresh coat of paint to make it all shine! 🎨✨

🪟✨ Window Wizardry: Glass Replacement Magic! ✨🪟

At Pro Painting Decoration LTD, we recently took on a glass replacement project that showcased our expertise in the delicate dance of restoring wooden sash and case windows. Here's a glimpse into the meticulous process:

🛠️ Project Journey:

Step 1 - Old Putty Farewell: First, we carefully raked out the old putty, bidding farewell to the worn-out elements of the past.
Step 2 - Broken Glass Be Gone: The broken glass had no place in our vision. We delicately removed it, making way for a sparkling new chapter.
Step 3 - New Glass Installation: Precision was key as we installed a pristine new glass, securing it in place with pins for stability.
Step 4 - The Finishing Touch - Putty Magic: With the glass in place, we applied the finishing touch – a layer of putty to seal the deal.
📸 The Unseen Beauty: While we don't have photos of the painting process a couple of days later, imagine the final result – a restored window, gleaming with a fresh coat of paint!

"🎨 Recent Project Update! 🖌️ by Pro Painting Decoration LTD

Transformed a hallway into a fresh, crisp space! Walls, ceilings, and woodwork got a clean coat of white paint, bringing a bright and airy vibe. But the real challenge was the bathroom - a bit more complex with the removal of old lining paper and a thorough prep process.

In the bathroom, we bid farewell to the old lining paper covered in washable paints. After some sanding and wall preparation, we applied a durable acrylic washable paint, ensuring a resilient finish that can stand up to moisture.

As for the hallway, we used Durable Matt on the walls, Vinyl Matt on the ceilings, and Acrylic Eggshell on the woodwork for that perfect blend of style and durability. Dealing with peeling old lining paper during the winter months in a cold and moist flat posed its challenges, but we successfully tackled it, sticking it back to the walls for a polished look.

We recently tackled a bathroom repair for Ace Property Management Agency. No paint this time, just some skilled patchwork! 🛠️

💪 Challenges:
A plumber's less-than-gentle approach left us with a hole in the wall. Challenge accepted!

✅ Our Solution:

Enlarged and squared the hole for a solid foundation.
Secured plasterboard, applied net on joints, and skimmed for a flawless finish.

The cutting-out process was no joke, but with dedication and teamwork, we conquered it. 💪💚

🎨 Project Completion: Park Railings Transformation in Saxe Coburgh Place, Edinburgh 🌳

🔧 Mission Accomplished: We're thrilled to announce the successful completion of our latest endeavor - a challenging yet rewarding project to revamp the railings around the park at Saxe Coburgh Place in Edinburgh!

🌞 Sunshine and Struggles: Our journey began under the bright sun, as we embarked on the task of revitalizing the park's railings. The initial days were promising, filled with energy and determination. However, as time went on, we faced our fair share of challenges, with the weather taking an unexpected turn. Rainy days couldn't dampen our spirits though!

🖌️ Turning the Tides: These railings presented a formidable challenge due to their sheer number and intricate design. They might have been the toughest we've encountered so far! Yet, with dedication and elbow grease, we scraped and sanded away the old paint, ensuring a solid foundation for our work.

💡 The Perfect Recipe: Our secret to success? A combination of hard work and high-quality materials. We meticulously applied red oxide primer to combat rust, paving the way for the final touch - two glossy coats of ML90 paint that brought the railings to life.

Our team used top-quality paints – a flexible weather shield undercoat and flexible weather shield gloss – ensuring a vibrant and long-lasting finish. The beautiful green hue adds a touch of elegance to the space.

I wanted to share an example of a perfectly painted door with you all. We took great care to ensure its flawless appearance. Any cracks, as wide as 0.5mm, were expertly filled with caulk, and any holes were diligently patched with Toupret wood filler. To complete the look, we chose Farrow and Ball's Whimborne White, an elegant off-white color, for the final coat.

The result is a door that not only looks stunning but also feels smooth to the touch. Attention to detail truly makes a difference! Take a look at the attached photo and let me know what you think.

Hi everyone,

I'm excited to share with you some photos of the beautifully restored windows! On the exterior they have been meticulously covered with a flexible oil undercoat and finished with a glossy flexible oil gloss. The interior has been done by us a couple years back so didn't need doing this time.

The transformation is truly remarkable, and I couldn't be happier with the results. These windows now showcase their original charm while offering enhanced durability.
