🏡 Fed up with renting...?
The two big cities in Scotland have seen the highest increase in rents over the last year or so in comparison to other UK cities with other towns an areas across Scotland showing similar increases.
There are a number of factors which contribute to this such as the Scottish Government rent cap legislation which was designed to protect renters from landlords hiking up rents but has in reality backfired significantly and has contributed to the increases we have seen as landlords are able to increase rental demands between tenancies.
There is a solution through - buying your own property... and it may not be as difficult as you think.
The re-emergence of the Lift Scheme which has came back at a great time for is designed to help first time buyers and other groups get on the property ladder. The scheme allows buyers to get between 10-40% of the property value from the LIFT Scheme to buy a property, the scheme would hold that percentage stake in your property in return.
Great for those with lower deposits - it is difficult to save a deposit when paying high rents
Both 0% deposit option available as well as 5% deposit of your share are popular solutions.

🤔 How Quick Does Your Broker Work For You?
We had a new client enquiry call in on Thursday afternoon after being let down by a previous broker. Due to this the client had a tight turnaround time for the completion of their purchase.
We were able to move quickly to get a full appointment booked in with the client on Friday afternoon to then submit the mortgage application.
