I think we may need a bigger trophy cabinet.

Following our success at the Royal Highland Show last year, where our Sicilian Pistachio gelato won the prestigious Ice Cream Championship Trophy, we decided to have a crack at the UK-wide National Ice Cream Competition, held recently in Harrogate.

We are proud to announce that our Lemon Sorbet was awarded Gold in the Silver Challenge Cup.

Our Pure Pistachio was the Silver Medal winner in the Open Flavour class.

Our Marscapone Raspberry Crumble, Strawberry and Chocolate flavours all received awards as well.

All of these flavours and many more are available at Oscar's Gelato on Brighton Place, where our artisan gelato is hand-made in small batches. It is also available at Oscar's on the Prom, Joppa Rocks and St Andrew's Restaurant & Takeaway.

Our artisan gelato cakes are perfect for any special occasion. Made to order just for you in the flavour of your choice. Blue or pink bubblegum for a kids birthday party? Sicilian pistachio for your stylish dinner party?

Our gelato cakes come in 3 sizes. Small serves approx 8 and is £25. Medium serves 12 and is £35. Large serves 16 and is £45. We just need a few days notice.

We are the Champions! Congratulations to Monika and all the team at Oscar's Gelato. We had a wonderful day at the Royal Highland Show recently and scooped several awards for our artisan gelato, made right here in Edinburgh's Seaside.

Our winning entries were:

Pistachio - Gold Medal and winners of the Ice Cream Championship Trophy presented by The Scottish Ice Cream Alliance. Reserve Champion for Overall Dairy Product.

Madagascar Vanilla - Gold
Lemon and Basil Sorbet - Gold
Strawberry - Bronze
Laphroaig Whisky - Bronze
Ricotta & Pear - Bronze

Our 100% Sicilian Brunella Pistachio gelato, along with all our other award-winning flavours, is available from Oscar's Gelato on Brighton Place, Oscar's on the Prom and Joppa Rocks.

Of course, regular tubs will still be available to cater for those who prefer them or have a gluten intolerance.

The legends at Atlantic Body & Soul got a lesson in making gelato at our Brighton Place kitchen this week. Why? Because we want to raise money for their fundraising efforts before they row unassisted across the Atlantic Ocean.

So we are donating ALL PROCEEDS from our coconut, pineapple and mango gelato flavour to them. You'll find it both at our gelateria and at Oscar's on the Prom!

The votes are in and Oscar's gelato is the clear winner! Lovely to meet Annelise Dodds MP and Labour candidate Jane Meagher on the prom today. Good luck to all the candidates in the forthcoming election and thank you to the three outgoing councillors, Maureen, Mary and Callum for all their help and advice.
