THE CUT-UP POETRY WORKSHOP

The cut-up method is a literary collage method. There will be source texts available and participants are invited to cut, splice, and experiment to generate new poems in an unpressured environment.

A two-person exhibition showcasing the work of award-winning, interdisciplinary poet James Alexander McKenzie and multidisciplinary artist Astrid Batts.

Expect a blend of painting, poetry, theatre, spoken word, performance art and stand-up comedy alongside installation and sculpture from the artists and

There will be daily performances at 3pm throughout the exhibition run by James, and a cutup poetry workshop on Wednesday 26th from 7pm til 8.30pm

Plus an open-mic hosted by Astrid with artist collective on Friday 28th July from 6 til 9pm.

This summer as part of our seasonal markets we will be hosting a Q***r Summer Market at Leith Arches. This market will have a wide range of q***r artists hosting stalls, workshops, filling the space with art and bringing magical vibes via the DJ booth!

🌼ARTISTS🌼

We are looking for a selection of artists to fill this large space with their beautiful artwork. We would mainly be looking for bigger works that can be hung over the balcony, frame the DJ booth or be free standing/leaning throughout the space!

🌼WORKSHOPS🌼

Our aim for this market is to have q***r artists throughout the space, and have the opportunity to share their creativity through a workshop.

There are options to host 1-3HR workshops within a dedicated workshop space amongst the market, or throughout the whole day from your stall. Previously we have had drawing, crochet and screen printing workshops at our markets and we would love to hear all your different ideas.

TONIGHT at Sett Studios

Samwooddoowmas album launch and one night only exhibition of their work.

FRIDAY 26 MAY AT Sett Studios 7pm

Edinburgh-based musician and visual artist, samwooddoowmas, is SETT to launch his latest album in an evening of performance, art and music.

Known for his unconventional approach to music-making, using tape loops, digital processing and analogue instrumentation to create his unique sound. Samwooddoowmas has also gained a reputation for utilising instruments in unexpected ways, such as a bass guitar played with a bicycle, and for performing in unusual spaces such as a urinal.

Join us for this one-of-a-kind experience, with a mix of live music and art. samwooddoowmas will perform tracks from his latest album, accompanied by his own artwork on display. DJ sets from SMIFF (Peter) and Ali will provide the perfect soundtrack for the evening.

Homemade cassettes of the new album will be available for purchase, allowing fans to take home a physical copy of the music.

Doors open at 7pm, seeya there pals!
