On **30th October 1914**, Portobello Town Hall was officially opened by Provost Sir Robert Kirk Inches. Over the years, this beautiful building has become a beloved community hub, and we’re thrilled to celebrate its rich history and contributions to Portobello!

Did you know?
🏛️ The first town hall, built in 1863, is now the Baptist Church.
📚 The second hall on the High Street, built in 1878, has served as a library and police station.

The current Town Hall was built as a gift to the people of Portobello for agreeing to join Edinburgh in 1896!
