Really exciting news - Little Learners West Edinburgh and Livingston is up for sale!!🎉🎉
I see so many sad business sale posts, particularly recently with so many small businesses pushed to the edge following covid and this terrible cost of living crisis. So with this post I wanted to bring you a really positive story 💜
As many of you know I started my Little Learners journey whilst on maternity leave with my youngest. I've grown the business whilst I've been so lucky to spend lots of extra time with my boys. With no business experience (or indeed experience in early years! ) I am so proud of what I have done and how many families I've had the pleasure of meeting.

It's been one hell of a crazy ride and it's taught me more about my own resilience, creativity, steeliness and adaptability than I think any employed job could have. Who would have thought I would have successfully hosted my very own children's festival for over 900 people in my second year of business and I've already got businesses and families enquiring about this year. When I look back over all the things that the business has achieved I'm quite in awe. So this is definitely not a sad story!

At the end of last year we decided as a family that I would go back to an employed role as there was no certainty with my husband's job. Since then I have been managing to balance the business, my job and time with our boys. With my eldest due to start school this year, life will be all change again and now is a good time both for the business and my family for me to look to move up the career ladder. The business is continuing to grow and is in a position for someone to come along and continue this journey and make it their own.
The business comes with all of the physical kit I've built up over the past couple of years, business page and instagram, mailing lists and contacts. I'm also not ready to pretend I can just walk away from something I've put my heart and soul into so I'll be offering a period of support/consultancy as part of the sale to the new owner so they don't need to do things alone and can get a real flying start.

I'm looking for someone incredible to takeover this business, I've built up an amazing customer following of which I'm very proud and unbelievably fond of. In fact many of the families I've met I would now class as friends so it's really important to me that the right person takes over.

💜💜FYI, the day to day operation of the business will not change at all whilst I'm looking for the next owner - all planned bookings, classes and events will go ahead as normal. In fact I'm even looking at making things bigger and better for the next new owner 💜💜

Here is a throwback of 2 of my little posh people enjoying the soft play from 2021.

It is important to look back only to see how far you have come. When we started this business we never could have imagined our side line would turn into such a positive part of our lives and our family. The beauty of little posh people is it founded on being a special part of so many people’s lives and celebrations too.

We have had the privilege of being a part of over 350 parties and celebrations since we started!

Job Role
We are looking for someone to become part of our team across our two businesses; Little Posh People and Hey J Events. Someone with creative flair, an eye for detail and who likes to make sure that each experience is ‘just right’ for the customer.
The ideal person will have a full, clean driver’s licence and is physically active to load and unload a van. Organisation and punctuality are a must as there are often several different hires within a day.
Other qualities include top people skills, especially the ability to accommodate children, this very important as you will be directly interacting with the customers and their children. A PVG will be required.
There are two part time roles on offer. Both require some flexibility but core hours will be
Role 1: Cleaning and organising storage unit (your own children are welcome).
Role 2: Delivery, set up (to our very posh standards) and collection of our equipment.
We are based near Straiton (for cleaning) but cover Edinburgh, the Lothians, Stirling, Clackmannanshire, Scottish Borders, Fife, Perth and Dundee (for parties and event set ups).
