Not just for singing!
If singing isn't your thing there are plenty of crucial supporting roles at Yoo-Star. The musicians are very important along with the record producers. So if you can't sing (and that doesn't stop anyone else here!) or are shy, you don't need to miss out. Yoo-Star is fun for everyone!
Also applies to anything coming from Yoo-Star at Groove Yoo-Star at Groove Tunnel 🤦♂️. For years I have wondered why people didn't reply.

Due to COVID and our resulting fairly hefty financial struggles, we're not going to be doing anything for this, this year. We're just not in a position financially or staff wise now everyone's been paid off. It's a great cause though so if you're one of the lucky ones with an income of some sort, do please give what you can . Next year's only a year away! 😀
This came up as a memory today. Remember all this
Please always give us the info requested to make life easier for everyone
We’re starting up again, one small step at a time. It’s been a terrible few years with the lockdown and resultant inability to operate but we’re determined to give people the chance to be pop stars regardless of how the world is.
Please remember if you’re giving us your address, to ensure you give us the correct address or the address you would like the CD covers and photo etc. which we send you after the party to be sent to.
We had an incident a few months ago where 2 months after their party, a customer asked us when their package would arrive. I explained the package had been sent out, as promised, on the day they were in. Especially quickly in fact to ensure CD covers were given out to friends prior to the summer break, to the address on the booking form (which we take from the info we request on booking).
After assuring us several times that they had given us the correct address, it then transpired they hadn’t given the correct, or rather, full address and they hadn’t checked the booking form properly when they’d received it at which point we could have easily rectified things. Unfortunately they also hadn’t said anything when I spoke with them, form in hand, after the party and explained that the CD covers and photos would be sent to the address on the form.
After several abusive emails, I forwarded their email with the information they’d provided along with the mail asking them to check the booking details along with a 3rd email stating their address so they could confirm this was the address they wanted the package to be sent. After a few weeks I got another email asking where the package was and explained it was sitting waiting for them to confirm the address as per the email from 2 weeks earlier.
This whole palaver took months and could have been avoided if the correct address had been given in the first instance or subsequent communications read properly. It’s not our place to question the details we’re given, and the Post Office didn’t have an issue with the address when they gave me the proof of posting for the original package so the abuse we received for not having the correct address was entirely uncalled for. All this too after us having to chase for payment 3 times!
Never in 20 years have we had a problem like that so please, please ensure you give us the correct address from the outset.
It might be hard to believe but the car used at the beginning of 'The Pink Panther Show' cartoon series was actually the real thing. If you cast your mind back, the sequence involved the car pulling up at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood and the film then cuts to the animated scenes.
The car was built in 1969 and was based on an Oldsmobile Toronado complete with 7 litre engine. It was pink of course with pink furry interior which also contained a bar and a mobile phone.
I'm pretty certain the Pink Panther wasn't real though. Award yourself 5 bonus points if you can still hum the theme tune.
Happy Anniversary!
On this day in 2009, ace record producer and "Hammond Madman" with top Scottish bands, The Shadowland, Groove Tunnel & The Apparells, Rod Spark married Jennifer Cochrane at a small private ceremony in Scotland
Youth groups too!
We love it when previous customers come back to visit us. Emma was 9 when she first had a party with us and was in last year to see the drummer from Chic who was in the studio. Now in her early 20's, Emma's a highly acclaimed dance instructor with the highly acclaimed Kic Dance school! Great to see you continuing with the performing Emma!
