Loved making this lace cloak for a special shoot that has just been released - a collaboration from Jodie Mann and The W Edinburgh!

The cloak was specially commissioned for the shoot and is made from layers of antique and Scottish lace,tulle and embellished with beaded lace. The final image encapsulates painting over incredible imagery with lyrics from a Gaelic lament. More on to come soon !

The canvas is 3 meters wide and now hangs in the EWOW

Wow what an incredible evening !

I’m so honoured to be part of this incredible exhibition which has been so beautiful curated by .

The Lace Noir Dress was draped and hand stitched stitched on the mannequin in my old studio down at Beaverhall. It was the first piece I created upon moving in. The dress is made using fabric from the only lace mill in Scotland . Hand painted golden lace is cut and appliquéd on to create a most elegant gown.

Fabulous to see so many kind wonderful people in attendance. Thank you for a dreamy eve there’s no other twin I would have rather spent this special occasion with x

This piece was especially made for our collaborative shoot. I made it using silk sarees that a lady had gifted to one of my friends. It’s made from someone’s love affair with silks and I gave them a new life.

This collection brings together , and to create a series of iconic images which synthesise fashion, photography and fine art. All three artists are originally form the Highlands and share a strong narrative in their work; folk lore, mysticism and Scottish romance come to life through tweeds, sumptuous lace, rich painterly brush work, and dynamic fine art photography.
A limited edition of 3 prints have been released to celebrate the first collaborative series.

NEW RELEASE- ORIANA
Delighted to announce a dreamy collaboration with renowned Scottish Photographer & Artist ! For this years showcase at Dalkeith Palace we are combining our love of art, fashion and fine art photography. Here is ‘Oriana’ part of a series we’ve been working on that we shot in Jodies Edinburgh Studio. The images captured by Joide feature some of my fashion pieces which are layered and hand embellished with Christines paintings.

Delighted to announce our Lace Noir Dress will feature in ‘Beyond The Little Black Dress’ alongside some of the worlds greatest names in fashion National Museums Scotland !

The dress was handmade in my Edinburgh studio using Scottish lace from MYB Textiles appliquéd with painted golden lace.

The exhibition will chart a century of fashion in a series of themed, immersive displays. Iconic early pieces by Yves Saint Laurent, Dior and Jean Muir will be juxtaposed with recent looks by ground-breaking contemporary designers and brands like Gareth Pugh, Simone Rocha,Off-White and Molly Goddard.

Tickets are on sale now, the exhibition opens from July 1st - 29th October 2023.
