Yesterday was a very sad day!
It was our last day all together in the studio!
We celebrated in style with an 80s pop music ballet class, a dress up competition, an award ceremony, games and a picnic(indoors as the weather decided to turn just for this day!). As I always say, this is not the end. It is the beginning of something new!
We wish all our pupils a very happy holidays! 🏖

A beautiful day here at Edinburgh Festival Ballet School!
Today we surprised our 3rd year students with a photoshoot around St Stephens as part of their graduation.
Big thanks to for taking the time with each student and capturing them so beautifully!

We can’t wait to share with you the beautiful images later on in the month when our students officially graduate 🎓

*Our new the Graduate Company will give dancers who feel they need a step between school and the professional world the opportunity to grow their skills and work with international choreographers in a professional environment. They will also have the opportunity to work with the EFB company during the season as well as dance in their own productions throughout the year.

This Is Edinburgh Festival Ballet
Edinburgh Festival Ballet & School opened its doors September 2019. Edinburgh Festival Ballet School is a new ballet academy in Scotland’s capital city. Founded by internationally-renowed dancer and director Peter Schaufuss, the full-time school provides world-class training for those looking to pursue a professional career in dance.
Our founder, Peter Schaufuss, trained and danced with the Royal Danish Ballet and School from 1956-67. He has been Principal Dancer of New York City Ballet, London Festival/English National Ballet, Berlin Ballet Deutsche Oper Berlin and National Ballet of Canada as well as a Guest Principal Dancer The Royal Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and Kirov/Mariinsky Ballet in London and Saint Petersburg.
Following a successful dancing career, Peter embarked on a successful career as an artistic director and choreographer. With notable career highlights including his Founding of The English National Ballet School, Royal Danish Ballet School (Holstebro) and Peter Schaufuss Ballet and Theatre of Dance/Black Box (Holstebro). Alongside his work in establishing a number of high profile dance schools, Peter has produced, directed and choreographed of over 100 ballets and productions staged in Denmark, London’s West End, Los Angeles, France, Germany, Italy and Australia.
