Wednesday Watercolour Class at Longniddry Community Center meets again tomorrow!
Last week we branched out - we all used the same techniques, and created different things. Watercolour is so simple and so complicated - whatever you want it to be!
We are at Longniddry Community Center tomorrow (Wednesday) from 1.30-3 or 7-8.30. We offer a drop in class for £20, so that you can come and go as it suits you. Everything is provided, including lots of tuition, and you will soon be knocking out the paintings in time for Christmas!

Wednesday Watercolour class at Longniddry is now ON!
Last week we learnt some cool things that you can do, even if you've not painted or drawn since school. The class have already nailed these pretty cool bouquets (clever bunch!) and landscapes, and this was only week 1!
If you'd like to enjoy something relaxing and fun, now the nights are beginning to get cosier, pop in to Longniddry Community Centre, Wednesdays 1.30 - 3, or 7-8.30.
It's £20 to drop in, and all materials are provided.
This Wednesday we will be learning more about various techniques - wet on wet and glazes etc. Drop me a line here or at [email protected] if you'd like to pop along, and I'll get the paints out.

And, to reassure you, no drawing required! We will trace anything complicated, (life's far too short) and get on with learning all the gorgeous techniques. You will soon be painting happily and enjoying a sense of achievement!

VERY excited for a new term of watercolours for beginners!
If you haven't picked up a brush since school or fancy refreshing what you know, enjoy creating with watercolours, from layering and washes to studies and sketches.
It's fun, relaxing, and you'll soon have an understanding of techniques to play with, several paintings to show off, and an energising sense of achievement!
We are at Longniddry Community Center from 1.30-3 (in time for school pick up!) and 7-8.30. All materials are provided, and it is £20 to drop in, and £15 for a block of 8 lessons (so £120).

Everyone is a beginner - well, a few lessons in, and have only just picked up a brush since school!
If you'd like to give watercolours a go, we are at Longniddry Community Centre on Wednesdays 1.30-3 (in time for pick-up) and 7-8.30.
It's a friendly group, very encouraging, and more importantly, willing to splash paint about and have a laugh.
It's £20 a class if you'd like to pop in, and £15 a class for the term of 8 weeks, (so £120 for the term). All materials are provided.
It's a structured course so that you will get a solid grounding in the basic techniques - people are amazed at how quickly they progress - and you'll soon feel an energising sense of achievement!

Anyone fancying a cool splosh around with watercolours? By popular request, Longniddry watercolour wednesdays will be getting together tomorrow (wed!) 1.30-3 in ... Gullane! - The Gullane recreation hall to play about painting hares, a lovely subject! and probably drink a cuppa or two.
Please feel free to drop in - it's for beginners and everyone is welcome, the more out of practice the better!
£15 with everything included. Do drop me an email if you'd like to pop in, and I'll get out the brushes for you.

Wednesday watercolour for beginners is today at Longniddry community centre 1.30-3, in time for school pick up, or 7-8.30, in time to chill - far more relaxing than the old tellybox.
Last week we played with washes and rocks, ready to sketch on our hols. Look at the lovely clean coIour combinations and sense of space, gorgeous ! We have to include the lovely dove- on the left is the learning painting where last week our talented artist well, learnt! And right is where the learning got put into use to paint this gorgeous lovely dovely.
Feel free to swing by to the last two Wednesdays before summer - when we’ll be doing some concentrated workshops. Today it’s poppies, big red, wonderful, expressive poppies! Whoop whoop!

Last week we had the gala tea dance next door, and it looked fabulous fun ( nice cakes too, ta!)
So, singing along to the groovy songs and jollity next door, we learnt how to draw - and measure proportions and slap colours on, I think they look great!
Swing by if you’ve ever fancied sploshing paint about - it’s £15 for everything. We might even get another cake!

Really brilliant time at Longniddry gala yesterday! There was circus people doing circussy stuff and a lovely atmosphere and your actual sun! Massive thank you to everyone who worked so hard - there’s only 8 of you for goodness sake, just wow. Did some live portraits which was huge fun, and the lovely lady next to me at Designs from the edge ( lovely stuff) reminded me I had a phone - so here’s a couple of pics. All drawn in 5 minutes with wriggly models - the best sort 😁 here’s to next year- I’ll be doing a paint and sip in September to help raise some loo lah. ( is that right?!) Watch this space !

Last week we practised loose sketches, working on pencil techniques and colour, and the lovely lines of the trees. Just need to draw squirrels now!

Last week we did a Proper Thing. It's a colour times table! Now when we see a colour, we know how to mix it. Yes Mr Farrow and Mr Ball, you can join in next week. You can even work out what colours our top artist used to create their wibbly street picture. Prizes to everyone that can spot the little face - someone wants to do more portraits of Mr Houmza, I think.

'We want to draw portraits!' said the class. And so we did. A few days later, Mr Yousef left. 'That's wierd' said the class, 'Let's try drawing Mr Putin.'

Its Wednesday again! How did that happen? Come and take some time out to relax at the Wednesday watercolour for beginners class. We will be looking at colours today, very meditative, and you will be amazed at what you can create from a very few paints.
Swing by Longniddry Community Center at 1.30-3 (just in time for pick up!) or 7-8.30 (a great way to decompress form the day). Everything is included for £15.
Last week, we did a bit of urban sketching and a quick bit of perspective. Then to make it easy, we sketched a street that bends, with lots of windows! Well done everyone, really lovely, loose brush marks and clear colours.
