Anyone relate?..
I’ve been spending quite a lot of time in the last month reviewing the yoga sutras and studying meanings behind mantras and chanting.
The yogis sure had a grasp of healing, love and service.
How can I love more?
I find that if I can shift my ‘thinking thinking thinking’ to LOVING I’m more present, my mind slows down and focus becomes more achievable.
I’m a work in progress folks. I trust that if I stay the path I’ll spend much more time in my HEART and less in my head. I wish that for you too.

Learn tools to regulate your nervous system through movement, breath- work, meditation, and relaxation.
Come and practice at the Edinburgh Yoga Room, a boutique studio located in the heart of Edinburgh. The studio is known for creating a warm and inclusive environment, allowing for more individual guidance so you can progress safely at your own pace.
The course runs for 11 weeks and will be approximately 1 hour long. *All classes will be both in person and live - streamed.

What I love about the practice is that it holds everything. It’s not about being perfect or denying our truth… spiritual bypassing is a real thing… and not helpful. It’s okay to not be okay… I find that these times can offer great healing and realisation about myself. It used to frighten me and now I can just sit with it and investigate what’s going on with me. I also know that these times pass. Trust the process… be compassionate with yourself…there are so many tools of the practice to support during these times… going for a walk, breath work, a physical practice, prayer/mantra, writing, deep rest…to name just a few.

Mantra… my favourite time of the day. Connecting with the divine.
Restore…. A great practice for self care and deep compassion to soothe the nervous system. As a recovering type A… one of my teachers years ago suggested I incorporate a restorative practice into my routine. I struggled to process the suggestion.., it wasn’t for me?! I did however take on her suggestion and the benefits were immediate. REST and ready for the rest of the day feeling more relaxed, grounded and actually alert. Give it a go! In a culture that values ‘doing’ over ‘resting’… it can feel difficult to allow time for this. However I’ve found it’s actually given me MORE time.
Ahimsa … for the self ….. turn towards that. Love love
