The awards aim to encourage the efficient use of resources, enhance the competitiveness of businesses, improve environmental performance, and support the wider goals of sustainable development.

After attending the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh, we were truly inspired by the conversations we had with farmers and the general public. They expressed so much enthusiasm for our use of sheep wool in producing insulation products. Wool is such an undervalued and underused commodity, and it's incredibly encouraging to see a growing appreciation for its potential.

Our journey started in Tanzania where our founder, John, learned about the remarkable qualities of the sisal plant (the big pineapple looking things in the picture).

Today we still use a blend of virgin sisal from East Africa in our insulation as well as recycled sisal from coffee sacks (thanks local roasters!) here in the UK. We love being able to support independent farmers in Africa and contribute to the circular economy.

Sustainably sourced quality raw materials makes for a great product. It's just common sense ✨
