Collaborator Spotlight 🌟 Zara Gladman 🌟 When she's not walking around Glasgow pretending to be a rat,🐁🐭🤣 zoologist, Dr Zara Gladman has reached viral status for her hilarious online videos. She's been writing, producing & performing musical, sketch and character comedy for many years alongside a science career. Perhaps best known as character, "the West End Mum" she was a Nominee for the Sir Billy Connolly Award 2024, having sold-out her Festival Debut within 24 hours and sold-out an extra show in July 2024.

Zara began collaborating with Sophie on their D.I.Y skit "West End Mum meets Edinburgh Morningside Mum" - these viral skits (840k + views) were covered in & twice in . Zara was a Nominee for the awards Online content category 2023, making her and Sophie the only Scottish finalists.

Rachel Macpherson-Graham is a professional Actor/Singer, Comedy Writer and Performer from Glasgow, trained to Masters level in Musical Theatre from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Rachel is 1/5th of the Comedy Sketch Group ‘Scram’. She has written and appeared in numerous Short Stuff (including "West Oestrogen Council" a short with ) and for Channel 4 Blaps. She is one half of the podcast .

Rachel collaborated with Sophie in writing & performing in an original filmed short that's exclusively shown as part of "Mother Bored" ❤️

The immensely talented Lee performs in a sketch that he co-developed with Sophie, for Mother Bored initially at Glasgow International Comedy Fest 2024.

Lee is an actor, improviser, stand-up / character comedian and content creator with a huge catalogue. He's gained a following in live stand-up, theatre, film and viral sketches and his own Fringe show in 2023. His naturally loveble Irish charm compliments a hilariously surreal & witty comic presence.

Lee is also co-founder of Edinburgh's exciting new queer-owned Tattoo and hair studio.

I had a brilliant experience putting on my own mixed-media work-in-progress, where I greatfully filled 80 seats at The Old Hairdressers, then performing with Zara Gladman and Friends at Òran Mór for 2 sold out 250 seaters in her unique, mixed-media musical comedy extravaganza. 🌟🥂🎵🎭🎤🎥🎞

The cherry on top for me was getting to enjoy a night of comedy legends at where I saw all the Scottish nominees for The Sir Billy Connoly Award. Zara, who was a nominee for the Sir Billy Connolly Award also kindly projecting my gaint mug 😂 onto the screen for a wee bit of her character act "West End Mum" along with a section of her Oran Mor show 😁

Watched hilarious sets by all the nomineess and some other brilliant visiting acts to the fest, such as one of my faves Kiri Pritchard-McLean and the evening was hosted by Susie Mccabe who won the Award 🥂🏆🌟🥂 !🌟
And a very moving speech broadcast from the big yin himself 🤯🌟

Elaine C Smith also spoke & made a great point about Glasgow being not only the funniest city (sorry to my native Edinburgh but I lived in Glasgow for 12 years and it's hard to disagree!!)but also the amount of female comedy talent that comes from the city ! 🔥

Huge respect to everyone involved in running this massive and diverse festival, hope you all enjoy a good rest/ hangover😆😁 🥂🌟
