Just a note to say I have a busy weekend coming up so will not be available for deliveries on 8th/9th of September but will be back with lots of lovely fresh flowers on the 10th September!

Katie was married at the weekend and wanted a mix of dried and preserved flowers so that she could keep her bouquet and use it as an arrangement in her home afterwards! These preserved roses are so good you would never know they aren’t fresh! 😍

I LOVED creating this Gypsophila arch for Jennifer at hopetounhouse so gorgeous and all just one flower! 😍

• CANDELABRA •

Such an elegant and classic look for your centrepieces (especially once the candles are in place 😂) these are great as they are such a narrow leg so you can see right across the table. You could also add more flowers and candles around the base using a wreath ring of flowers or Bud vases!

• ANNUAL LEAVE •

Hi all! I will be taking a wee break from 22nd of July until 12th August, I do have some posts scheduled to keep you all entertained while I’m away but I won’t have any flowers in stock during this time for any deliveries! ❤️

I was recently able to create these rustic arrangements for a Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award celebration at Holyrood Palace. Seasonal bright flowers with added Thistles and a little tartan ribbon to add a Scottish touch.

Hannah had sent me a few images of the styles and ideas she liked for her bouquet and they were fairly different so I pulled together parts that I felt stood out in each one to create something just for her ❤️

We are excited to welcome Katie from Muscari Blue Flower Studio. Katie has a huge passion for flowers and started Muscari over 10 years ago. She creates gorgeous fresh flower bouquets, hatboxes, buttonholes, corsages, funeral and wedding flowers.

Katie is looking forward to meeting new and existing customers at Saturdays Market and has lots of lovely products to bring along. 💐

A Deconstructed archway I created at Dundas Castle at the entrance to the Auld Keep for Ash and Ian. This is a lovely space to dress at this venue because all of your guests and yourselves pass through this space and can use it for a photographs too.

• LILY OF THE VALLEY •

I saw another florist page post this information this morning and thought it might be a nice little bit of information for you all! Lily of the Valley isn’t a flower I have worked with many times due to the price per stem, quantity you have to buy it in and the length of the stem but it is gorgeous and has the most amazing scent!

“It is the first day of May and that means the most exquisite Convallaria Majalis aka Lily of the Valley, not just the most expensive flower in the world (probably!!) but traditionally THE flower of May and all started by King Charles IX of France way back in 1561.

History says that King Charles IX received a bunch on May 1st and was told it would bring him good luck and prosperity over the coming year. Touched by the story he decided to present a bouquet of Lily of the Valley to every lady in his court and it’s a tradition that has carried on in France ever since. In floriography terms Lily of the Valley also stands for absolute purity, youth, sincerity, and discretion but most of all happiness! Sounds good to us!
