I've now finished the models in the following colours - GWR Light Stone /Dark Stone - GWR Chocolate / Cream - LNER Green and LMS/Midland Crimson in N gauge/scale.

Having created scale 3D printed Electricity Pylon models in N gauge/scale, I have now been asked to produce in TT gauge/scale.

These are available as a kit of parts OR a finished model - the Grey is the colour as printed.

These could be made for 00 gauge/scale but I think they would seem overly big even though they are to scale - I would recommend using the TT version.

As a follow up from my post - this is the next step in how I produce one of my 3D printed models.

After producing the 2D drawings, using Microstation SE, these are then imported into Sketchup8 and the various parts extruded.

I've just about got the basic structure sorted - now onto the detailing plus the ramp etc for the coal wagons.

Once thats done I'll be de-constructing it to create the model parts, ready for 3D printing.

The pictures attached show my latest project - Coal Stage - based on a combination of the ones at Leamington Spa and Didcot .

The model will then be available in N, TT, h0 and 00 gauges/scales.

Calling this one finished - 3D printed model in TT scale/gauge of Bodmin General Station.

Full Interior details - Roof and Walls are removable for access and viewing.

Is also available finished in Brick instead of Stone.

Large wing roofs now modelled and printed off in both N and h0 gauges/scales.

Next is to glue them together and install Dormers.

Another 3D printed model of Rannoch Signal Box - this time in N gauge/scale.

All parts colour printed - except Brick base which is painted with Acrylic.

Windows are glazed using Glue'n'Glaze.

Assembly 10 mins - Roof is detachable - there is fully fitted out Interior with Levers, Bells and Furniture available.

This model is also available in TT, H0 and 00 gauges/scales.

Either as Kit of parts OR finished painted model.

In case anyone was wondering - this is how I start to produce one of my 3D printed models.

After gathering as much information on the subject as I can , I then produce, using Microstation SE, 2D drawings of plans and elevations of the subject.

The pictures attached shoe my latest project - Coal Stage - based on a combination of the ones at Leamington Spa and Didcot.

From this I shall import the 2D CAD drawings into Sketchup8 where the relevant parts will be extruded and made into the 3D model.

Once the 3D model is ready, I shall then 3D print the parts of at N gauge/scale to ensure they work.

The model will then be available in N, TT, h0 and 00 gauges/scales.
