Both like for like replacements,
🟢 First we travel to St Ives and erect new lap panels on wooden posts with a new closeboard gate.
🟢 Then off to Stretham to replace old wooden fencing for new closeboard panels on longer lasting concrete posts and concrete gravel boards.

Contracted by the City of Ely Council to remove the old picket fencing around the play area at Cherry Hill Play Park, and replacing with the new galvanised bow top railings.

Bringing the specialist machines again for this project. 200m of post and rail fencing, 2 field gates and some Tornado Wire Ltd horse net to make the animals safe, for this local Parish Council.
Flailing the field first with the avant by TreeMendous Mechanised Arboriculture , 100 posts knocked in the ground using the Protech Machinery compact.

🗣️ Second half of our lager project is here! 🗣️

Moving to the front of the garden!
Our customers chose this stylish set of 3/4 Split Cottage Mortise & Tenon Entrance gates, to match in with the KDM tongue and groove panels.

Clearing a large section at the side of the garden with our machinery and attachments to make way for the customers new panels, with NPS providing the concrete posts and gravel boards.

This was a great project to complete with our lovely returning customers!

Starting with the bottom section of the garden…Working with the Cambridgeshire Highways to erect the new closeboard fencing and matching gate in the correct position after the area was cleared.

Clearing the large area of a mixture of overgrown brambles and hedgerows with our 3ton machine and Flail and Grab attachments, also creating a new section for our customers including digging out for a pond 🪷 Saving areas for new growth for wildlife 🕊️

The weather hasn’t been on our side in our recent projects, but we get there in the end!

On this project we had to dig out with our 3ton digger to create an allotment type area for growing by sealing it off with post and rail fencing.

Last week we got the opportunity to go back and admire our previous work from nearly 3 years ago and our old design sign, while working next door!

With a lot of clearing to do, there is only one thing for it…bring in Bob!

Bob is our smaller 1ton excavator, This compact machine makes clearing easier and quicker for us.

Closeboard fencing on concrete gravel boards with concrete recessed posts.

🤷🏻‍♂️Why choose concrete gravel boards instead of wooden?

There is not much cost difference between the two options… However, concrete gravel boards share many of the same benefits as concrete fence posts.

🟢 Durability - The gravel board sits on the damp ground. Concrete is considerably more durable than wood and won’t succumb to water damage and rot.

🟢 Insect damage - Because the gravel board is directly at ground level, often with soil and grass against it, it is prone to insect damage. Insects easily damage wood, they can’t damage concrete.

🟢 Strength - Concrete gravel board is robust. A knock from a lawnmower is unlikely to make a scratch, whereas damage to wood is much more likely.

🟢 Wildlife-friendly: Hedgehog numbers are in enormous decline. We can provide concrete gravel boards with small ground-level holes which allow wildlife like hedgehogs to roam freely across gardens.

Sometimes, it is just that easy!

This large gate was damaged in the winds and struggling to open, All it needed was to remove the old concrete and install 2 new 6x6 gate posts to get it working again!

We started off the week with a big one, as it got colder it ended up small…The diggers that is! 🤭

Replacing this old fencing and gate with new, all to match.

Using our diggers and attachments to make the job quicker and easier, as shown in the pictures making a nice clean job of removing the old posts.
