Today and over the weekend we joined the nation at Remembrance Services across the county to remember and honour the sacrifice of those who gave their lives in service.
Our neighbourhood teams have had a busy week. ๐ฎโโ๏ธ
Whilst out and about they seized this car for no insurance on Downham Road in Ely.
Driving with no insurance can land you with a fixed penalty fine of up to ยฃ300, six points on your licence and your vehicle being seized.โ
Want to make sure this isn't you? Head to our website for more information on driving legally ๐ https://orlo.uk/5BBvN
It's really disappointing to see criminal damage to this bench, in Broad Street, Ely, donated by the British Legion.
These benches often serve as lasting memorials, honouring veterans and reminding communities of the sacrifices made by service members.
Vandalism in Ely won't be tolerated and the neighbourhood team are working to find those responsible.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police quoting reference 35/80760/24

Last week neighbourhood officers attended a road traffic collision in Ely. ๐
They found a lorry had hit a low bridge at Queen Adelaide.
The lorry driver continued driving with the damaged trailer which then split and left a tonne of cockles on the roundabout at A142 Stuntney Causeway.
The driver was reported for driving without due care.
We apologise for any disruption caused, it was essen-shell the cockles were moved out the road! ๐
Sonny Loveridge, 26, tried to rob the One Stop shop in Manea last year and then killed his accomplice in a crash near Chatteris.

Are you planning a home firework display next week?๐
Everyone should be able to enjoy fireworks safely, whether at an organised display or in their back garden.
Fireworks can be used in the UK any time from 7am to 11pm except for Bonfire night, where they can be used till midnight.
If you are planning a private display, then please ensure these are in back gardens or on private property as only licensed professionals can use them in public places.
If used irresponsibly, fireworks can cause damage to property and pose a serious fire risk so, make sure you stay alert and ensure everyone is safe before setting them off.
We hope everyone has a great time, stays safe and enjoys the sparkles!โจ

Whether you boo-lieve it or not, we don't want to spoil anyone's fun, but ask that everyone stays safe, respectful of others and have a spook-tacular evening!
You can find advice and information about Halloween on our website here ๐ https://orlo.uk/lvcQ7

This week officers have been out and about across Ely city centre in response to community concerns about anti-social behaviour.
We engaged with Cloister's enforcement officers and shop keepers about drug use concerns they had around the area.
Is there something you would like our neighbourhood officers to focus on? Let us know your concerns via our community survey here ๐ https://orlo.uk/8AaIo
This morning we issued a notice to an occupier of an abandoned boat underneath a bridge on the A10 near Littleport. ๐ค
We partnered with the environmental agency to issue the notice that requests the man moves out so the boat can be towed away or if he plans to live there, he needs to register it.
Not sure they appreciated the early morning wake up call!โฐ
