We loved designing this light, bright and cosy view home in Suffolk. We aimed to achieve a warm and inviting atmosphere to attract potential buyers. By using neutral colours for the furniture and then pops of golden tones on the walls and soft furnishings, we created a visual balance without being beige and boring! The end result is a welcoming home that will help buyers truly appreciate the space.

We recently staged the showhome at Dominics Way, an exclusive small development of just 7 two bedroom detached retirement bungalows for the over 65’s located next to the St Dominic’s care home in Kelvedon.

Our second View Home at The Elms in Woolpit has just been released for sale by Hopkins Homes with lots of interest already.
The plot has an unusual layout with curved exterior walls. While empty, buyers were struggling to see how their furniture could be placed in the rooms and what would fit. Now that the property has been staged everything makes sense and the show home will be an excellent example to market the remaining plots too.

Winter comforts
A few simple tips on how we make a show home feel more inviting for your buyers during the colder months:
❄️ Firstly, we use furniture that is proportional to the room size, and avoid cluttering the space with too many items.
❄️ We include wall mirrors and reflective surfaces to create a sense of openness and brightness. We maximise the natural light as much as possible but add a mixture of floor and table lamps, candles, lanterns and even fairy lights to help create a sense of warmth and ambiance.
❄️ To create a sense of smell, we include scented candles, diffusers, potpourri or fresh flowers with fragrances that evoke positive emotions and memories for a festive mood.
❄️ A sense of warmth is essential as a buyer steps through the front door. Ensuring the heating is turned on ahead of viewings is a priority while a gas fire could be lit to add the soothing effect of flames.
❄️ Touch is also an important element of interior design. Using soft fabrics, textured cushions, rugs, and furry throws we create a sense of cosiness and comfort that buyers can aspire to.
