Annoyingly it turns out my phone network is having issues. I do not know how long this has been going on for, but it has been rather quiet the past few days 😔

I am unable to receive calls or check my answerphone.

One thing I have come to dislike is ceiling voids with no access just down lights.

When rodents move in it can become really hard to gain access. Ideally an access hatch allows traps or rodenticide to be placed.

Failing that you can install a bait safe. Which is discreet and allows easy access without having to remove down lights

Moths, moles, pubs and lofts. That has been today's work between Ely, Mepal, Littleport and Witchford.

Time to sign off for the day and spend time with my pests. 👯

One thing that always surprised me. Was that food premises don't have to have independent pest control as a matter of course.

It's always nice when setting up a new contract that the restaurant is happy for this independent oversight.

Today was not the ideal day for a bee removal. On the bright side it was a lovely morning and the ship of the fens looked good.

It's the wrong time of year really. However sometimes building work and other factors dictate timescales. This had been resident for some time and extended many feet down.

Building maintenance is something you should be on top of.

Most rodent visitors come in buildings via a defect or poor build quality.

These pictures are a roof that has more holes than a colander and in need for TLC.

There is something about plastic that they just love to chew.

Soon we shall bringing some tree's into our houses.

If you have a real tree, make sure you get the bugs off before you bring it in. Otherwise you may find some little surprise insects sharing your living room.

It's log burning season and we need to keep those log baskets topped up.

If your log store is outside, give each log a good shake before bringing into the house.

Insects will have settled for the winter in those log piles. Shake them off before you bring them into the house. Keep those insects outside.
