Umbrella Big Band dance at Hiam - Ballroom and Latin dance with a small amount of sequence included in the programme.
The wonderful Umbrella Big Band playing fabulous music from 1920s to the present day - the best from the famous bands of Glen Miller, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Joe Loss and more.
Three sets with two intervals. Doors open from 7:00 p.m. Food will be on sale. Dress Code: Black Tie (optional)

HIAM Sports & Social Club has a superb dance floor and holds regular 50/50 Sunday Tea Dances and Saturday night Ballroom & Sequence Dances all year round.
Sunday Tea Dances are from 2 til 5 p.m. on the first Sunday of every month and occasionally on other Sundays too. Admission: £4.50 for members and £6.00 for non-members.
Saturday night Ballroom and Sequence Dances are generally on the 3rd and 4th Saturday of the month. Time: 8 til 11:00 p.m. (doors open at 7:00). Admission £5.50 for members. £7.00 for non-members.
Re 50/50: we ask our musicians to play a true 50/50 to give equal time to both ballroom and sequence dancers.
The club also holds Country Line Dance on the first Saturday of the month, and Rock'n'Roll Nights usually on the 2nd Saturday. The club has a licensed bar, a pool table, free WiFi and free parking, and the spacious hall can be hired for social occasions such as dances, weddings receptions, christening parties and the like.
It is not possible to post regular hours for the club because the hours vary. The club is generally only open when there is an event on. For evening events, the doors open at 7:00 p.m. For an afternoon tea dance the doors open at 1:00 p.m. Otherwise hours are variable. Keep an eye on the website for specific events. There is plentful free car parking at the front of the building.
