ST Massage Therapy
Hi, my name is Scott and I am a fully qualified, insured massage therapist based in Epsom, Surrey.
I provide a mobile service in and around Epsom & surrounding areas.
In just 4 weeks, my finger has made some good progress. Im trying to mobilise it as much as I’m able to so I can use my hand comfortably again.
The bone healing process involves the formation of callus at the fracture site. This callus is essentially a bridge of new bone tissue that stabilizes and reconnects the broken segments. These pictures give an insight into the intricate process of bone remodeling, emphasising the body's remarkable capacity for self-repair (thanks ChatGPT).
I hope to be back soon
I’ve managed to break my pinky finger. A finger that seems insignificant but now my whole hand is out of action. I only had 1 week until I stopped for Christmas too. I’ve got some disappointing news to tell everyone I’ve got booked in so far. Thank you to all my customers throughout the year and I hope to see you soon in the new year.
Scott
Now that the kids are getting back to school, I’d like to start filling out my work diary again. Let me just remind everyone that I’m sports massage level 4 qualified and soon I’ll be taking up the final level 5 course. I’m a mobile therapist so I come to you. I’m also considering changing my options to sports massage (problem specific) and deep tissue massage (full/part body routine) only, just to focus on what I’m good at and keep things simple. My prices are simple too with no fancy package names:
30 mins £30, 60 mins £55, 90 mins £80. Please get in touch for more information or to arrange a booking.

The kids have gone back to school and now you’re wondering what to do with all that spare (🤣) time?
Book a relaxing Swedish massage or get back to the gym and book a deep tissue massage of course.
Book direct with me, Scott on 07706 148 292 or through stmassage.co.uk
I met one of my clients just over 2 months ago for the very first time. As usual with first time visits, she filled in my consultation form to tell me her medical conditions/history. This is needed for me as some conditions may need adjustments to the treatment. Sometimes people forget to tell me about an operation they had years ago so when I see a scar/abnormality, I ask them about it.
During the massage, I moved onto the back and shoulders and I can see and feel a lump on the shoulder blade. Subtle at first until I looked from another angle to see the light reflecting. It felt spongy/fatty which is completely different from muscle so I asked if she knew about it. She had no idea and I suggested that she see’s her GP about it.
The next day she saw a pharmacist to look at the swelling, he sent her to a walk in centre, the nurse said it urgently needs scanning so off she went to A&E and they referred her to the Royal Marsden hospital for an MRI and biopsy. It was a worrying time for her but thankfully it was a non cancerous benign lipoma.
It has now been removed and I’m sure she feels much better with it out (12cm/5”).
Thank you NHS 🫶🏻
⚠️⛔️Do not look at the third picture if you don’t like 🤢 gross things⛔️⚠️
Anna contacted me to arrange a sports massage for her husband who was returning from an ironman challenge in Spain. I set up in a room and finished the soothing massage on the stressed muscles. While I was there, she asked if I could I fit in a half hour back massage for herself. I had time so I had 2 happy customers instead of 1.
Big drop off yesterday. The car park was so busy we had to park elsewhere and walk it in.

My daughter is desperate to go door to door knocking to see if she can get any donations for the Ukrainian refugees. She was upset when I said no because people need time to get things ready. So with this FaceBook post I’m asking if any of my clients (or not) have anything to donate? I will be taking my own donations along with any of yours on the 17th next week. Send me a message if you’d like us to pick up your donations too. We are not taking money.
Happy Two’sday everyone. It may be 2:22 on 22.2.22 (what a time 2 be alive) but I’ve been spending the last few months working on 2+2.
I’ve finally figured it out and I am proud 2 announce that I am now level 4 qualified in sports massage. It isn’t just a deep tissue massage routine, it’s about investigation of an injury/dysfunction, seeing how joints move, finding the root cause of pain/tightness, stretching muscles so they become less likely 2 get torn and using massage on the affected muscles and surround areas.
I don’t want 2 take up 2 much of your time 2day so I’ll let you get back 2 it.
Scott✌🏻
Andrew is a busy business owner and a new dad so he was pretty happy that I could travel to him and set up in a quiet side room.
It’s my last day in Canada🇨🇦 and this is how I’ve been getting a bit of exercise here🪓. Tomorrow I’ll be up in the air✈️ for the New Years celebrations which will be different (hopefully they’ll give us some bubbly🥂). Thank you🙏🏻 to all my clients and anyone who has shared my details with someone, it’s been tough getting going since last year with all the lockdowns🚫 but it’s been decent since I started again this April. Let’s hope we can all keep moving forward now and I can’t wait to meet many more people🏊🏼♂️🚴🏽♂️🧘🏻♀️🏃🏼♀️🏋🏾♂️🤸🏽♀️in the next year. Happy new year everyone🎉
I received this lovely pebble picture as a Christmas gift. Now I just need my own treatment room to hang it up in.
Margaret had a hip replacement on one side and couldn’t use her leg as normal. The lack of movement caused swelling to occur around the knee so Maggie called me and asked about lymphatic drainage. I went to see her and did some lymphatic drainage and a bit of very light massage as not to disturb the post-op wound. I was then able to do regular massage on the rest of the body that I could get to (she wasn’t able to lie face down at this point). I’ve seen Maggie almost weekly since and she is enjoying a full body massage with the focus being on removing the stagnant waste build up in the affected leg and she is recovering really well. I cant take any credit whatsoever for the recovery because the human body is amazing by itself but massage certainly helps.
Epsom and Ewell Families are hosting a 12 days of Christmas giveaway. Be sure to check them out if you aren’t part of the group already.
Congratulations to Suzy Payne (lockdown hero I’ve heard) for winning a 60 minute treatment of choice 🥳🎄🎁
That’s me done for another week. These home set ups have gotten me feeling Christmassy. There’s still time to buy a Christmas voucher if you’re struggling to find a gift for someone. Send me a message to find out more.
I will be sharing my google reviews here every week starting with Sarah. She is a hard worker and is on her feet a lot so gets a lot of aches and pains. She likes to go for a 90 minute deep tissue massage every few weeks, she finds it relaxing and it also allows me to work deep on any tense muscles that I feel along the way.
It was a birthday treat for my client on Saturday. A cosy set up for a relaxing 90 minute Swedish massage. I was asked to feel for tension and use some deep tissue techniques where needed which I was happy to do. I used a high quality natural lavender lotion which is perfect for total relaxation.
There’s only 1 month left to get your massage before Christmas so please book now.
Christmas themed gift vouchers are also available to buy. Printed on photo paper, these card sized vouchers fit nicely into a card.
Choose from 30/60/90 mins and let them book it in when they want.
Book ahead to have a voucher delivered before I leave for Canada 🇨🇦🎄
When you have a massage appointment in 10 mins.
👻Happy Halloween🎃
🤨 Heard of Lymphatic Drainage?
🤔 What is it and how does it help with breast cancer patients?
🤓 Lymphatic drainage massage is a specialised form of gentle massage that promotes the flow of lymphatic fluid (lymph) through the body, directing it to the lymph nodes where it is filtered.
The lymphatic system flows all throughout the body, and transports mainly white blood cells as part of the body's immune system. It helps regulate inflammation and the immune response, and removes waste and toxins from the body. Certain health conditions can interrupt the normal flow of lymph, causing a buildup in certain areas (also known as lymphoedema). Examples include swollen ankles after a long-haul flight, or a swollen arm after breast cancer treatment.
Lymphoedema can commonly occur after surgery (particularly if lymph nodes have been removed), or after radiation treatment. Lymphoedema can be very painful and increases your risk of infection, so it is important to identify and treat this as soon as possible.
🧐 How does it work?
🤗 Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage is a very gentle type of massage, using light touch to promote circulation. It is not painful, and in fact is very relaxing and therapeutic.
The lymphatic system runs very close to the skin, ie the surface of the body. To stimulate it's flow, your massage therapist will very gently move and stimulate the skin. This is to not compress the lymph vessels and maximise the flow and drainage. It is very different to a Remedial Massage, and has a different clinical purpose.
🥺 Is it just for breast cancer patients?
🥳 No. Anyone who suffers from poor circulation or surgery that has removed or damaged any lymph nodes can benefit. It can also boost a healthy persons immune system and prevent any build up from happening in the first place.
Manual lymphatic drainage has also been proven to be beneficial for the following:
▪️Rheumatoid arthritis. If you have rheumatoid arthritis, you may experience poor lymph flow as the disease progresses. Along with tissue swelling, pain in the joints increases, joints lose their function, and the skin changes color. Lymph drainage massage can help ease these later-stage rheumatoid arthritis symptoms.
▪️Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI). Chronic venous insufficiency is when the valves or walls of the veins that are in the legs don't work correctly. This makes it hard for the blood to flow back to the heart from the legs. Lymphatic drainage massage can help increase the speed of blood flow in people with CVI.
▪️Fibromyalgia. Lymphatic drainage massage may help people with fibromyalgia. This condition causes inflammation of the skin nerves, discoloration of the skin, and tissue swelling. The massage has been shown to be better than connective tissue massage in treating depression, stiffness, and improving quality of life for those living with fibromyalgia.
🤯 How often should I get it?
🙂 It is recommend that treatments should be every 3 months for full body maintenance, or a succession of small, localised treatments for areas of lymphoedema/ swelling. Please get in touch for more info and to discuss whether manual lymphatic drainage is right for you.
This month is month and I am pleased to have donated an hours treatment as a raffle prize to the Fun, Fashion & Fizz for the Breast Cancer Now event at All Things Nice.
