What is liposuction?
Liposuction involves removing fat by sucking it out through a tube. It is most effective for people whose weight is normal and who have have firm, elastic skin. It is not a substitute for losing weight.
Why have liposuction?
Liposuction can help to correct and improve the contours of parts of the body it is difficult to shift weight from. The areas that are most commonly treated by liposuction are the tummy, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, neck and upper arms. Liposuction can also be used to remove lipomas (non-cancerous tumours of fatty tissue) and fatty swellings that can develop under men’s ni***es to look like breasts (gynaecomastia).

The Wilson Clinic is a Surrey based Cosmetic Surgery Clinic. Mr G R Wilson FRCS FRCS(Plast), an experienced Plastic Surgeon owns the clinic, and with a team of experienced staff, offers all types of Cosmetic/Plastic Surgery, and Non-Surgical Procedures We operate from Ashtead Hospital in Surrey, and also The Epsom Skin Clinic.

Coming from a background of NHS UK trained Plastic Surgery, and spending many years as Lead Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Chelsea and Westminster, London UK, Mr Wilson decided to take his private practice into Surrey To offer London expectations and high standards to the southern counties of Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and Kent.

He is a member of BAAPS (The British Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons), he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Medicine. Over the years he has spent time lecturing, and writing on Plastic Surgery, and is also a fully qualified Hand Surgeon.
