Last week, Tim Ollier, (business owner of Ed’s garden services in Taunton, Somerset) did a great job of making this front garden more manageable for his client.

By clearing the poorly chosen plants and turf, (no one wants to get the mower out for a couple of square feet of grass) laying w**d membrane, bark and some carefully selected shrubs, this garden will go from strength to strength, with minimal care. 🏡

HAPPY NATIONAL GARDENING WEEK 2022! 🥳

National Gardening week is run by to raise awareness of gardening and horticulture, and to encourage more people to take part in the healthy and productive outdoor activity of gardening.

Each season seems to have a dominant colour, and yellow definitely seems to be the colour of spring.

Yellow flowers and blossoms are so prevalent at this time of year, as it is the colour that is most attractive to the insects that pollinate them.

It’s certainly a colour that kicks off the season for Ed’s and puts a smile on all our faces!

TIM’S TURFING!

Tim Ollier is the business owner of Ed’s Garden Services for the Taunton area and tells us about a garden improvement project that was completed last week.

“The couple who own this property had a new patio and pathway installed, leaving the lawn on a much lower level, it needed to be raised considerably.

So 6 tons of top soil were bought in to raise the lawn, new turf was laid and wooden sleepers were installed to define the edges.”

Fantastic job!! Another example of how our Ed’s business owners pride themselves on a prompt, reliable and efficient service!

Ed’s Horsham team were tasked with clearing the garden of a retired ex-army gentleman by the , a charity who provide lifelong support for our forces and their families.

Bob and his team discovered more than they expected in the overgrowth, including a bath, a few old bikes, beds and the odd deckchair. As well as the rubbish, the team found and saved a fantastic, characterful ancient apple tree which once belonged to an orchard on this site.

So, 2 and a half Luton vans of rubbish and 7 van loads of green waste later, the garden was beginning to take shape.

With the addition of new turf, and some planting in the raised beds, Ed’s Horsham team hope that this can be a garden retreat that the client can enjoy this year.
