Good to see bees around

Today I going to share with you a couple of reasons why I became a butcher.
I am passionate about food, the food chain and where it comes from. Not just meat. After working in nearly every part of the farming industry the next logical step for me was to learn to butcher.
I also wanted to bring back some honesty to the meat industry. It’s not the easy route. You can make more money selling EU pork and chicken from Thailand and labelling it as British. There’s not many shops that use free range or even British pork in their sausages anymore. You may assume they do.
Another reason is I like de-bunking myths about meat. Like how you always get told that pork and chicken has to cooked till it’s basically dry in the middle. If you buy fresh they can still be pink in the middle.
Hope this wasn’t too much of a boring read. I’ll get back to slinging sausages now 🙂.

It’s coming up to that time of year to plant your gardens for the summer.
PLEASE BE AWARE it’s still too early to put these tender plants out and need to be kept in a greenhouse or indoors for the time being . Keep an eye on the night time temperatures
