It’s all coming together 🥹💗 This week added The Beauty Shed logo to the salon mirror and I absolutely LOVE how it’s turned out. There are still some more finishing touches I’d like to add but I keep reminding myself that Rome wasn’t built in a day 😂😅

Another successful evening of late night nails 💅🏻 Remember girls, The Beauty Shed is open on an evening meaning that you can book your appointments around work, children and any other daytime obligations you might have 🌙✨

This week I went back to Beauty School as I wanted to do a little refresher for Builder Gel Nails as I think it’s so important to continue to lean new skills and enhance my current ones 💅🏻

Builder Gel adds extra strength and protection to your natural nails and encourages nail growth. It’s a product that I can’t recommend enough especially for those with weak nails / nails prone to breaking. Another plus is that Builder Gel can be infilled which means you don’t need to have a complete set every time but you still get all the benefits to help keep those nails long and strong 💪🏻

To pass the course I completed two sets of nails which you can see in the photos. I was assessed doing these and can’t wait to see how my clients get on with them!

I’ve also booked onto another course in July which I look forward to introducing into the salon over the summer ☀️

Absolutely LOVE these nails 💅🏻 The design, the colour - just absolutely obsessed and love it so much when clients request nails like these which allow me to get creative. 🐆 🩷 💙

I just wanted to pop on and say a huge thank you for all the love and support of The Beauty Shed recently. I’m sure I sound like a broken record but I really am so grateful. From likes and comments on social media posts to booking in appointments & recommending me to friends and family - it all means SO much 💗

Taking a huge leap of faith and leaving my day job was incredibly scary but I’m so glad that I invested in myself and put my own dreams first because it feels like it’s really starting to pay off ☁️

Although it’s been incredibly busy these past few weeks to the point where I am trying to spin allll the plates alllll the time I really do love what I do, I love catching up with you all, I love meeting new people and getting creative within the salon 💅🏻

Thank you again, I feel so lucky to have a job that I absolutely love.

Last week saw wedding nails, holiday nails and even Harry Potter themed nails 💅🏻 I welcomed so many new clients who I hope to see again and also caught up with lots of familiar faces 😊

The one thing about gel pedicures are that you can expect the colour to last for a minimum of 4-6 weeks so I am sure we will have some sun before this client is back again ☀️💅🏻

Todays colour of choice was Lace, this is one of my newest colours and it’s proving to be really popular 💕🌸

Hi, I’m Sophie 💖

I’m a 33 year old Mum to two young boys and I live at home with my husband, our boys, one cat and and our dog Marley 🐾

I’ve always had a passion for beauty therapy and decided to open my own salon 6 years ago. I recently opened a NEW salon from home where I currently offer nail treatments and eyelash extensions 💅🏻 💁🏼‍♀️

As you may know I recently left my day job and will be working in The Beauty Shed full time offering more appointment hours than ever before ⏰

I’m a HUGE Kings of Leon fan and have seen them in concert nine times 🎵 Batman films are my all time favourite, Devon & Cornwall are two of my favourite places to escape to and I can’t wait to visit again this summer ☀️

I know it can be daunting visiting a new salon so I hope this little post helps to put your mind at ease 🫶🏻

Today was my first day in the salon since leaving my day job - it doesn’t seem real yet 🥹 I think it will take a while to settle into my new routine, that said I was straight into The Beaty Shed this morning and have been back to back all day 🙌🏻

I’m all set up and ready for tonight’s lash appointment before it all starts again tomorrow.

As one door closes another one opens 🚪✨

Yesterday was my last day working in childcare and as you can imagine it was such an emotional day 🥹

I received some lovely gifts and heartfelt messages which were truly unexpected but appreciated so much. One gift was this beautiful heart plaque which is now hanging in The Beauty Shed. It has such a special meaning for this new & exciting chapter where I will be focusing on my own dreams and working full time in The Beauty Shed 🫶🏻💅🏻

A loyalty card will be ready and waiting for all clients at their next appointment - I’m so excited to finally share this with you all! 🥰

I am so appreciative of return clients and I wanted to show this with the introduction of loyalty cards 😊

For every manicure, pedicure or eyelash treatment completed a stamp will be added to your card. Once you have 8 stamps 25% will be taken off your next appointment!
