Multiple students at Stratford Upon Avon College, especially those who fall under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella, are being targeted for intense bullying by students. Multiple reports have been made against these people and the most that has happened to them is suspension.
A few weeks ago 2 students (one being a trans woman) were physically attacked right outside of the college by students due to their transphobic beliefs. The trans student was getting verbally harassed and being called slurs before the fight broke out. The attackers threw the first punch and the trans students boyfriend defended her. There were multiple knife threats and the boyfriend sustained a head injury. The police were involved and the college set out an investigation, assuring the victims that the main perpetrators would be expelled as they had multiple reports against them for similar behaviour.

However this was not met and the students will be allowed back in the college, which puts many students at risk but mainly the victims of the attack. This decision has made many of the LGBTQIA+ members of the college scared to enter the college due to the prejudice that had already been shown by these students.

I am prepared to end this and get these attackers expelled by starting this petition. If we can show the principal of Stratford Upon Avon College that many people believe this is an injustice then we can get them out and create a safer space for LGBTQIA+ students. Stratford college is usually a very safe place for these students but as of late is is becoming less and less safe.
