I have found evidence several times a day every day for the last 5 years.

Sometimes it’s knocked me off course.

There have been times that those feelings of just not being enough have felt too much to bear.

In those moments when I wondered ‘Why am I still doing this?’…
I realised that there was no other plan.

No negotiation.

In fact I believe this is essential 💛

☕️Every night I set my coffee pot and every morning I start my day with my cup of coffee and oat milk with time to myself and my thoughts before I deal with anything else.

This tiny habit gives me the assurance of
💫Time for me
💫Something I enjoy
💫Space to think ahead
💫Peace and silence
💫How it will make me feel…

When all else fails this little habit remains my constant.

It’s my chance to reset daily.

Your habits do not have to be huge.
They can be incremental.
They are the building blocks of your experiences.

Our entire day is made up of these ‘habits’, a series of choices we make, every minute of every day.

Some will propel you forwards 🚀
Some will maintain a status quo ⚖️
Some will hold you back 🚧

Identifying these is what puts you in the driving seat of your habitual ways of being.

So much is unconsciously done.
But the more you give yourself a chance to tune in to yourself and intentionally seek out what they are - the more control you take.

Hello, November 🌙

It’s about the small moments: a quiet cup of coffee, a deep breath, a walk that’s just for you.

I can often find myself focusing so hard on the things I want to change or accomplish that I forget to appreciate just being.

Being present.
Being there.
Being me.

In fact focusing on those things takes me away from me.

Change and growth are SO important.

But creating that change from a place of self appreciation, strength and connection are essential.

Whatever your phase or challenge of life, if showing up is all you’ve got right now please acknowledge the strength and courage it takes to do that with compassion and most of all…

I love doing my work 💛
It makes me work on myself daily.
It gives me insights into who I am daily.

That has its gifts 🎁
And it’s drawbacks 😂

I am deep in the research, training and delivery of teachings around our habits and behaviours (FYI in case you hadn’t guessed)

EVERY time I go to write a post my marvellous mind suddenly goes ‘WOOOAHH!! You do that!’

Because guess what, I’m human! And so are you 💛

Those things you feel keep you standing still, stuck and immobilised, are normal human reactions.

Making them mean you are less than brilliant is where the pain and constant merry(not) go round of no change lies.

Because you’re not gonna make a change if you don’t like yourself much 🤷‍♀️

What works…

We often look at habits as things that we need to change.

They may well be…

But what about what is already working in your life?

What habit patterns can you replicate for success in other areas of your life?

And how about taking a look at evidence for success in what you want to achieve.

What have others accomplished or overcome in their lives?

Are you really so special that only YOU can’t do it?

Your marvellous mind may well let you believe that to be true… but is it?

Really??

Comparison is the destroyer of dreams but INSPIRATION? That’s golden ✨

Go back to the list of habits that are already working for you.

Winter hugs baby 🥰

After a weekend of much needed catch-ups with two fabulous friends it seems fitting to share this with you.

In this quite frankly eversoslightly overwhelming, boisterous and competitive online space it it ESSENTIAL to me that anything I share, visual or verbal is authentic.

I don’t filter my pictures.
I don’t edit my videos.
I don’t share opinions that aren’t my own.

I’ve no doubt that there could be an argument to say I SHOULD do some of these things.

But I don’t.

My lovely friend Kate makes beautiful skincare and aside from a smidge of powder and mascara that’s pretty much all I use.

My skin is not perfect but also not bad for nearly 45.

So this is homage to my mission of authentic and ethical marketing and also to big up Kate’s incredible business .

So yesterday was the first workshop in the pre-launch of my new year-long-program that starts in January (more to come on this!).

And this week is all about HABITS.

Since delivering this first workshop My Marvellous Mind had been going overtime in ALL the things I could talk about on this subject.

But the more I do this work the more I realise it’s all just so much more simple than our marvellous minds would have us believe.

It all comes down to the part we play in our experiences and situations.

It’s about being aware, and honest, about how much control we have and how our choices (or habits) can impact and influence that.

SO simple.
And yet SO complex too.

And there are two key perspectives that drive this.

👉Awareness.
Because you can’t change what you’re not aware of which is one of the biggest obstacles with habits.

👉Honesty.
Because until we take ownership of our choices, responses and the role we play in our own life…

…we are giving our power to change anything away.

We cannot control that which is outside of us.
But we sure can influence it when we tune into ourselves ✨

In mid November I will be running my Habit Cracker mini series - A deep dive into your habits. How to identify your patterns of being and how to disrupt them through new routines and focus to reclaim control over your experiences.

I have been feeling ENORMOUSLY vulnerable this last week or so 😳 (ok maybe more like 5 years…)

I have 3 BIG passion projects afoot…
… afoot but not yet in flight

And blimey My Marvellous Mind has been having a field day!!

You know - the times where you analyse (OVERanalyse!!) everything 👀.

Every email or message response, or lack of one. Every post, conversation, video…

Everything!

I am not immune to this.
But I am tuned in.

Today has been particularly acute and this evening I sat down and watched ALL of my recent videos.

Around 7 in a row.

And do you know what?

I quite like me.

I drive myself bonkers.
I am often OVERambitious, particularly in relation to the time I have available.
I am spontaneous and impulsive and yet frequently indecisive - there’s a recipe for insanity!

I mean seriously. I really am a pain in my own arse.

BUT

I’m really actually pretty good at this stuff and it’s about time that more than 3 people get to see my videos.

Being able to see, speak and sometimes change or embrace the pieces of yourself that spark frustration or stagnation is a gift that too many of us avoid.

Because it’s so bloody uncomfortable.
Vulnerable.

Happy Monday! 🩷

This week I am diving into the many plans I have for the coming weeks and months.

I am most definitely a THINKER and still have to work hard on moving through indecision.

It one of the many ways of being human that can keep us immobilised and stuck in unhelpful patterns.

First step is to acknowledge it for what it is.
Nothing more than a pain in the bum that we have to get over if we want to experience something different.

As soon as you make it mean there is something wrong with you, you lose the fight with yourself.

Overthinking.
Needing things to be ‘right’.
Trusting myself.

These are the things that have immobilised me.
What about you?

This season I am choosing to embrace the lens of ‘normal’.
There used to be much peace and freedom to be found there!
