Exciting news ready for our season ahead

Pre season training is going well!

Gorgeous evening for pre season fitness training at Bravelands tonight. This year we are merging with Teignmouth and forming TeignExe to see us through the first year of colts as neither club has a second year colts team to support numbers.

This week is volunteers week and we couldn't let it pass without thanking everyone that helps our team run. We are so lucky to have brilliant coaches and a fully supportive group of parents who help with everything whether it be washing the shirts, cooking the food, serving the coffees or buying in oranges.

The thoughts of everyone at England Rugby are with the family and friends of Rob Burrow, who has sadly passed away at the age of 41.

Rest in peace, Rob 🙏

After a successful year delivering Girls Only Pitch Up and Play sessions to many clubs, we are pleased to be running these at Exeter Athletic to finish the season.

These sessions are for any girls who are in the U12 to U18 age groups. Whether you have played before or are completely new to the sport, it will be great to have many girls all playing rugby together.

These will run from Monday 20th May to Monday 22nd July, except any school holidays or bank holidays during this time.

We hope to see many of you attending these sessions, as we continue to grow the girls game in the South West.

Today the boys helped Exeter Chiefs Official in their awesome victory over Harlequins Rugby Union. This game marked the end of two seasons being ballboys for them. Thank you to all of the boys who have covered games for us over the last two years.

Good luck to all the U16’s starting their exams this week. Work hard then play hard!

One last get together for the Exeter Athletic Rugby Club U16’s rugby family tonight enjoying a mass pizza delivery and a game of touch rugby. We finish the season now for the boys to focus on their GCSE’s and look forward to seeing them back in July for pre season.

We are incredibly proud of our U16’s performance in today’s Fisherman’s Cup plate final. They fought with determination and heart, showcasing their skills on the field. To the U16 team: you should be immensely proud of yourselves! Despite the close scoreline of 15-21, with three tries each, our opponents’ conversions made the difference. We fought until the end, coming close to victory in the dying moments, but it wasn’t meant to be. 🏉

What a fantastic day for the team! The game was as tight as a game could be ending with three tries each 15-21 but it wasn’t to be today. Congratulations to Plymstock Oaks RFC on winning the plate and thank you for a great game.
