TALKWORKS is Devon’s NHS Talking Therapies service, here to improve your mental wellbeing.
TALKWORKS is a free, confidential, service, part of NHS Talking Therapies, for people aged 18+ in Devon (excluding Plymouth), helping you to improve your mental and physical wellbeing. TALKWORKS is part of Devon Partnership NHS Trust, which provides a wide range of NHS services to people with mental health and learning disability needs in Devon, the wider South West region and nationally.

One of the forms of therapy that we offer here at TALKWORKS is called Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR).
This talking therapy has been developed to help people who have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

When welcoming a child, some parents experience the 'baby blues' where they can feel sad or sometimes tearful. If this persists beyond the first couple of weeks, it could be a sign of post-natal depression.

Once you have self-referred to TALKWORKS, or your GP has made a referral on your behalf, we will contact you within five working days to arrange your appointment.
We aim to see all of our referrals for an initial assessment within 6 weeks, however, our current waiting times are much shorter.
