Backlines Training Division is set up ready for you over the coming months, the CPC deadline for a lot of drivers is rapidly approaching and the proposed changes to CPC will not happen before the September 9th deadline.

The proposed changes to CPC will happen towards the end of 2024 into 2025 subject to Parliamentary approval the one think you can be assured of is that the possible 35 hours training is not going anywhere and if your driving involves International Driving you will need to do the 35 hours training to legally drive abroad, the proposed National Driver CPC will not cover this!

I still have a couple Saturdays and Sundays that can be booked out to you to deliver CPC at a location of your choice or one of our many training locations around the Southwest, providing the numbers are there.

Tracy, who is new to our Andover Outbase went to Exeter this week to do some training. She sent some lovely flowers to say thanyou!! Interbranch training is a great way of getting to know colleagues across the network. Thank you Tracy and team Exeter.

This is a great time of year to up-skill our office staff to ensure we can deliver our promise of having fully trained drivers within the branches!! This week, one of the Exeter team members went out for a day of deliveries training on HIAB.

As you’d imagine we’ll be hitting the ground running from the 2nd January with CPC training in Plymouth followed by Exeter, Yeovil, Bridgwater, Avonmouth.

Starting in Plymouth and Christchurch then Avonmouth and Exeter.

Congratulations to Michelle from our Exeter office.

Michelle completed the Trek26 South Devon Coast which was 26 miles walk by Alzheimer's Society.

The walk took them through the English Riviera taking in the stunning views across the water, through woods, along cliff tops and past stunning beaches.

Michelle completed the course in a time of 12 hours and 45 mins, which on any day is fantastic, but especially so on the hottest day of the year. Raising over her initial target, there still time to donate https://lnkd.in/eC2td7FM

If you’ve been putting off CPC, maybe before and after Christmas is the best time for you to catch up. That September 9th deadline, that you said to yourself “we’ll sort it next year”, is unfortunately a stone throw away, I can imagine it’ll be very hard to book CPC training the closer we get to this deadline so being pro-active is the best way.
