Life has really tested us these past 7 months. First me & now my Son.
6 weeks ago he was referred to the soft sarcoma specialist after finding a rather large lump in his arm.
Within 10 mins of leaving the GP we got that dreaded text 💔
My heart fell out my a*rse .
He had an ultrasound. I don’t know how I didn’t pass out through hyperventilating whilst I waited patiently for someone to say something.
What felt like eternity they finally said it looks like a fatty lump but you need an MRI next week.
We went for the MRI. A week later they phoned to say we need a biopsy, again next week.
Today was the day. 5 biopsies taken. A proper chat about his MRI results and complete reassurance at 99.9% it’s a fatty lump 🙏
He will be having surgery very soon as it’s grown into his muscle.
Next week we will know his care plan 🙏❤️
Today I think our Consultant was God himself. I’ve never in all my years met someone so concerned for our happiness, to make sure we understand everything that has happened and will happen and who took the time to look After my Son like gold . Forever grateful to this incredible human being.
I know we don’t have the results yet but for the first time in 7 months between my own health and his I feel like I can breathe.
Will I stop crying today??? Probably not 🤦‍♀️

Yesterday I had a little trip out 🥰

After a really awful 24hrs and having to go back into hospital 🥹😔 due to post operative complications, I am finally back home.
I can’t thank the NHS enough. My team waiting for my arrival and straight to treatment. I was scared when they said the 2 issues they were worried it could be 😔 thankfully it wasn’t either of those but still if the treatment they gave me didn’t work it would have been more surgery.
I don’t know if my mind or body feels the most battered, but I’m still so very grateful for such dedication, swiftness and kindness that was shown to me 🙏

Thank you to my very skilled gynaecologist oncologist surgeon. A laparoscopic robotically assisted hysterectomy enabled me to be a day patient!!!!
Pain is under control, a few little bumps in the red but it’s only been 24 hrs.
Feeling very grateful for our NHS right now 🙏❤️🫶❤️🙏

Thank you everyone for all your kind words, love & support these last 10 weeks or so. It’s been pretty heavy with lots of tears, the unknown & laughs.

I had an mri , which I quite enjoyed 🤦‍♀️🤣because a biopsy was proving to difficult. Unfortunately it cannot rule out cancer, no one knows for sure. On that basis I’m booked in for a hysterectomy in 2 weeks time. The last hurdle, then I can breathe and put all this behind me.

Thank you to my beautiful family & Husband for allowing me to just be and do what ever I needed to get through.

Today’s appointment didn’t go to plan so didn’t get the answers we wanted/ expected. I have to much scar tissue from previous treatments which meant my hysteroscopy & biopsy was unsuccessful.

It was very painful and currently feeling very sorry for myself but…. Who doesn’t love a bit of gas & air .

I absolutely broke down through sheer disappointment, fear & pain but I’m ok now 💪 I think I’m allowed a few wobbly moments.

After speaking with the consultant
I do believe I’m ok & every one is just being cautious but honest to god it’s a nightmare situation.

Although I’m being looked after & quickly on the 2 week pathway it seems like I’ve been in this forever.
So for now I wait for the mri in the next fortnight and hopefully we can put this to bed 🙏
