Cognitive stimulation therapy offers hope for our loved ones facing memory and thinking challenges caused by dementia.
Our trained Care Professionals can help support them by providing cognitive stimulation on a one-to-one basis within the comfort of home. Word or number puzzles, when incorporated into daily routines, have shown promising results in enhancing memory, thinking, and overall cognitive abilities in individuals living with dementia. What matters most is engaging in brain-stimulating activities regularly.

Retirement isn’t the end. It’s just the start of something new.
You’ve spent years working hard, building a life, travelling, maybe raising a family.
Now, the world says it’s time to slow down — but what if it’s time to start something new?
There’s someone out there who needs exactly what you’ve got.
Your kindness, your patience, your life experience.
Maybe it’s Mr. Thompson, who’s been feeling a bit lonely since his wife passed.
Or Mrs. Wilson, who needs help getting to her appointments now that driving’s a struggle.
Or Ms. Davies, who just needs a hand getting up, dressed, and ready for the day ahead.
This isn’t about passing time. It’s about making a difference in someone else’s life with the time you have.
With your life experience, you can give so much.
As a Care Professional, you’ll visit clients in their own homes, helping them live independently and doing the kinds of things you’d do for a family member.
It’s helping them get to the shops, preparing a meal, or simply enjoying a good chat over a cuppa.
Plus, it’s a paid role that can fit around your other interests - giving you an extra income while offering a sense of purpose. We offer various hours during the week, evenings and weekends so chat with us about what could work for you.
It’s about real connections and quality time with those who need it most — and feeling that incredible warm, fuzzy feeling at the end of the day.
At Home Instead, we believe that the best chapters are still to come.

Our Care Professional Heather, recently visited Bicton Park Botanical Gardens with her client! 🌳🍂
"We had a lovely visit to Bicton Gardens recently. So much to see there and a lovely cafe too! It was interesting to look back at the history of how it originated and how it's grown. The original orangery was built early 1700's!
The gardens were looking as good as ever despite it being Autumn. Definitely worth a visit." 💜
