Research Ahead of Birth: Attend an antenatal / birth prep class whilst your still pregnant to find out all you need to know about breastfeeding so you can arm yourself with what to expect when baby comes. 📚

Stay Hydrated: Breastfeeding is thirsty work so you'll need to make sure you stay hydrated - treat yourself to a fancy new water bottle and keep it handy at all times! 💦

Comfort is Key: Create a cozy spot or chair with a nursing pillow for support, a relaxed setting can make all the difference. Settle down with everything you need within reach remote control, your phone and your water bottle (snacks too!) 🛋️

Positioning and Attachment: Ensure your baby has a good latch and you are comfortable with the different feeding positions, it will help to avoid discomfort and promote efficient milk flow. Always seek guidance if needed from your midwife, health visitor or a breastfeeding peer support worker/lactation specialist. 💕

Feed on Demand: Pay attention to your baby's feeding cues and feed them whenever they are showing signs of being hungry (even if it feels like you've only just fed them!) 👶🏽

Healthy Diet: A healthy diet will help to aid your recovery following birth and will keep your strength and energy up for your feeding sessions 🍏

Rest: Accept and ask for help when you need it, rest when you can and never feel guilty for taking a well-needed break. A well-rested mum is better equipped for the breastfeeding journey ❤️

Support Network: Surround yourself with a supportive network of family and friends who understand and encourage your choices. Be patient and trust your own instincts - you're doing great!💕
