Yesterday we were invited to a very special ceremony (+sparkling afternoon tea!) to receive the ROSE Award from .

The ROSE Award is the Recognition Of Service Excellence, awarded to a select few accommodation providers across the whole of country, by Visit England.

This award is recognition of all of the hard work, care and dedication that our amazing team at The Four Horseshoes bring every single day.

So, congratulations and thank you to every single one of you, be proud of making The Four Horseshoes such a special place to be!

Serving traditional cooked breakfasts 7 days a week - 7.30am to 9.30am.

If you can’t make it by 9.30am, we serve bacon rolls, coffees & cake until midday.

Then it’s lunch, served until 2.30pm.

Evening meals are served from 5pm to 8.30pm.

‘Jamie’s Chicken’ with a wild garlic and white wine cream sauce, roasted new potatoes, pan fried asparagus and diced crispy bacon and onion.

If that’s not enough we’ve also a fresh salmon fillet, slow cooked lamb shank or homemade chilli con carne on the specials today too!

Perhaps your favourite is our fresh fish & chips, maybe homemade steak & ale pie, could it be freshly made vegetarian or beef lasagne?

Our grill menu offers sirloin, ribeye and fillet steaks, as well as gammon with ALL the trimmings, a chicken grill, a mixed grill and even a veggie/vegan grill.

It doesn’t matter if you’re coming back for your favourite meal or planning to try something new, Chefs Sarah, Amber and Jamie, supported by the team, are cooking for you everyday… booking is advisable!

Much-loved village pub saved from 'inevitable doom' set to reopen next week The Trowel and Hammer pub in Cotton, near Stowmarket in mid Suffolk, is reopening for a month before Christmas.

Huge congratulations to our whole team here at ‘The Shoes’ for this recent collection of awards!

TRIPADVISOR, Traveler’s Choice award. As reviewed now by hundreds of guests, this puts us in the top 10% in the whole world to have such a rating on Tripadvisor!

HOTELS.COM, once again review after review has landed us with 9.2 out of 10 for our cosy B&B rooms (looked after by Karen!) and our home cooked menus in the restaurant.

SCORES ON THE DOORS, lastly, but by no means least, Sarah, Amber, Jamie and the rest of the kitchen crew have retained our 5/5 food hygiene rating in the kitchens!
Anyone that’s worked in hospitality will know just how stressful an on-the-spot visit from the local environmental health officer can be!
The team and our kitchen were put through their paces and came out with flying colours. The EHO even commented that Sarah’s allergen control system was some of the best and most comprehensive work he had seen!

So, from the man behind the camera (Tom) please join me on congratulating each and every one of our hard working 5-star team, you guys really are THE BEST!!!
