Super Full Moon Eclipse Reiki Drum and Meditation Class. Monday 16th September 7:45 pm @ Budock Water Village Hall. The energies of a full moon eclipse can be potent, but also chaotic, and people often feel them most a night or 2 before the event. So this is a perfect time to ground, calm the mind, connect to your higher self and surrender. Allow the Drum to guide you. The shamanic beat will centre you, switch brainwaves from alpha to theta and activate the parasympathetic response, deeply relaxing mind and body. This in turn allows the body to heal and any trapped emotions to be released. This super full moon eclipse occurs at a time when the seasons are turning, which in itself can cause stagnation of energy. So we will also use the wonderful 6 healing sounds of Qi Gong to clear any stuck summer energy, making way for the more introspective time of Autumn. Sessions are £10. Summer Solstice falls on Thursday 20th June this year, and I'm offering a special extended class to celebrate. The solstice is a natural time to pause and reflect and so after invoking the 7 sacred directions, we will take time to meditate upon what has been achieved so far this year, what needs to be released and what needs to be cherished. It's also a very energetically charged day - a perfect time to set intentions. We'll then move into a Reiki Drum Journey. Similar to a Shamanic Drum Journey, but held in the healing light of Reiki. The repetitive Drum beat allows your spirit to Journey to another realm, where you may choose to meet a power animal for it's medicine, an ancestral guide or other spirit for counsel or direction, or perhaps you may seek clarity about your path or a life situation. You can set your own intention for your journey. There will be time afterwards to consult oracle cards and for reflection and journaling. We will finish with energy balls and herbal tea.

There are times in our life when we have to let go of something, even if we are not quite ready, in order for something new to blossom.

It's important to allow those periods of challenge and difficulty to move us downwards energetically. Although it may not feel like it, that is a place of great learning and potential healing. And then when the upward energy reaches for you, especially potent at this time of year with the rising sap energy of Spring, adventure awaits!

Having begun my Sound Healing training in voice, I have been reminded of the power of vocal toning in a group. This wonderful self- healing technique uses simple vowel sounds and can be used to cleanse and balance the chakras. This wonderful morning affirmation had slipped from my practice. A gentle reminder is useful from time to time as the demands of every day life can distract us from these small but incredibly important daily practices.

Our thoughts have incredible power. Bruce Weiner said "Wake up every morning with the thought that something wonderful is going to happen". Doing this every morning as you wake raises your vibrational energy and you will then find that most days, this expectation is met.

We were very lucky to have this beautiful sunrise and flat sea for the start of my retreat day.. sauna Escape Swims and sea swim.. perfect way to start a well being retreat.
