Ray Clarke Memorial Cup 2021

Hey Frensham, guess what? We’ve done it!
In fact, we’ve smashed it!
In a total of 10 days, we’ve travelled a grand total of 1,470km and surpassed our initial target.
The question now is, how far can we go in the next 22 days? Can we get to 5000 km?!
It’s never too late to get out on that bike or dust off your running shoes.
Push hard. Let’s do it!

FCC Into the Tail Already
It’s been A MIGHTY first week, FCC! We’ve blitzed the top and middle grounds with just the tail left.
28 FCC players, friends and family have run, walked and cycled their way to a mighty 1,201 km / 746 miles. A smashing 88% of our total. A truly monstrous effort!
We’ve already rattled through 15 of the 18 grounds.
A huge effort over the weekend saw us fly through the miles faster than the ice cold Fosters cans leaving the FCC bar on a Saturday evening.
We’ve only got three grounds left: County Cricket Ground (Northamptonshire), Cloud FM County Ground (Essex) and finally, Lords (Middlesex).
With only 155 km remaining, how quickly can we get this completed by?
Let’s keep pushing.
AT THE READY, FRENSHAM!
Frensham CC, it’s time!
Lace up your trainers and pump up your tyres. It’s time to pound those pavements to all 18 county cricket grounds as 1,356km / 842 miles (roughly!) await us.
Make sure you stretch, hydrate and record your exercise(s) so we can reach that distance before our deadline. Let’s see how far we can go.
As a reminder, we start tomorrow (22nd March) and finish on the 18th April. The route starts at the Oval and finishes at Lords.
It’s warming up, daylight saving is close and the cricket season is just around the corner. I couldn't think of a better way to welcome spring, could you?
Join the Frensham CC Strava club here: https://www.strava.com/clubs/887458. Your activities will be automatically logged once you join the club.

Let’s smash this!
GET ACTIVE AND JOIN THE FRENSHAM CC VIRTUAL FUN RUN!

We will aim to complete the challenge as a collective between 22nd March and 18th April. It is just for fun and a great way to get in shape for the season ahead!

PRE-SEASON TRAINING FOR SENIORS
Our very own Tom Charman has kindly agreed to lead on running two pre-season training sessions at the Club in preparation for the annual Ray Clarke Cup fixtures on 24th April, and the new I'Anson season starting on 1st May.
Two outdoor sessions are planned for Saturday 10th April and Saturday 17th April from 12:00 – 1:30pm at Frensham CC.
These sessions are open to all seniors and will consist of a mix of fitness/fielding and net practice. There is no fee and we only ask that you make a small contribution if you wish.
We will of course be following the appropriate guidance regarding Covid-19 and should there be any change to the Government guidelines we will update as required.
We hope to see many of you at these sessions and I know Tom is looking forward to putting us through our paces! You can find out a bit more about Tom's PT work here: https://www.one-element.co.uk/
