As part of Sustainable Fashion Week we are hosting Make An Impact, an exhibition of Leeds City College Textiles students work. Students have curated the exhibition and created a social media campaign to promote the exhibition. Everyone is welcome to the opening night on Tuesday 24th September, 5pm to 8pm at Scrap. The exhibition continues Weds-Sat 10am-4pm.

Sustainable Fashion Week (SFW) is returning this September, uniting communities across the UK and the globe with over 19 hubs.

SFW 2024 celebrates the theme “The Power of Repair”, emphasising the importance of mending and reimagining fashion to foster sustainability.

The programme kicks off on Friday 20th September until Sunday 29th September, with a Community Fringe extending the run until Saturday 12th October.

Scrap is delighted to be hosting the SFW Leeds Hub (one of 20 Hubs in the UK and internationally) with the following events:

This Saturday (27th) join us at Scrap for the Crafters and Makers DeStash Market! 20 stalls of unwanted, unused craft materials, what will you find?! In the past we’ve had fabric, lace, haberdashery, trims, card making, stamps, paper crafting, jewellery making, beads, paints, decoupage, dies, wire, cords, journalling, oh the list goes on! The SCRAP Micro Cafe will be open to refuel you with hot and cold drinks and cakes, plus the rest of SCRAP to explore. 10am - 3pm.
