Counselling is a type of talking therapy that aims to help you deal with and overcome issues that are causing emotional pain, negative thoughts or problems.
I provide a safe, confidential and regular space for you to talk and explore what is happening in your life and what changes you want to make.
By empathising and understanding your issues I work alongside you to help you find clarity with a goal of facilitating positive change.
Hypnotherapy is full of misconceptions. At all times you remain aware of your surroundings and it is usually described as a feeling of deep relaxation.
As an Analytical Hypnotherapist I draw on techniques gained in my training as a counsellor and psychotherapist in order to discover and address deeper, longer standing issues. By focusing on the underlying issues, the root cause can be addressed in a layered approach. For example, if the presenting issue is anxiety, analytical hypnotherapy seeks to establish the cause of the anxiety (eg an event from childhood), before addressing it. It aims to resolve problems as opposed to managing them.
