Our U9 girls played their first ever tournament in the Corus Cup at Flamingo Land yesterday 😊
The girls' nerves soon settled and we were treated to some wonderful football and teamwork against some tough opponents 💪
The girls were strong and kept playing hard all the way to the final 😊😊😊
It wasn't our day however but they should be really proud of their runners up medals 🏅
Fantastic to see the girls showing great sportsmanship to all our opponents and supporting and encouraging one another 🫶🏻💖

Three of our teams competed in a very well organised Wigginton Grasshoppers F.C. 82 Gala over the weekend. Saturday saw our U11’s & U13’s Eagles reach their respective finals 👏🏻🤩 Both teams turned on the flair in tense finals which included last minute goals and a penalty shootout! 😬 Well done to both teams who came away as Plate and Trophy Runners Up 🏆🏅👏🏻

Sunday saw the turn of our U14 Girls 💖 Matching up against some familiar teams the girls stuck to their game plan and progressed to their trophy final 🫶🏻 A hard fought final against a well known Bishopthorpe team the girls still came away smiling with their runners up medals 🏅👏🏻

Another brilliant result last weekend!!

Old Malton Under 10 Girls Hawks played in a Leeds tournament last Saturday. It was a really successful day for the girls, reaching the Cup final against some strong West Yorkshire sides.

The girls performed brilliantly throughout the day 👏👏

This week the nation celebrates Volunteers Week when it’s a time to say thank you to those who make our fantastic football club possible and to recognise the huge commitment they make. Our U12 Hawks took part in their first ever tournament since forming last season at the ever popular Flamingoland Football Festival 🏆

The boys played fantastic all weekend having to play an extra game and in hot temperatures 🥵

We witnessed some truly amazing performances by the team especially from our GK Louis 🧤 who pulled off some outstanding saves 👏🏻

Tournament season really is upon us! 🤪 This weekend saw a number of our teams in action at various locations across our region 🏆

Starting with our U10G Eagles who travelled over to a very well organised South Cave Juniors FC Girls tournament 🏆

The girls played fantastic all day, never giving up showing great determination and sportsmanship making it through to their first ever tournament final finishing eventual runners up 🫶🏻💖👏🏻

The coaches, parents and supporters were extremely proud of you all and how far you have progressed in such a short space of time 👍🏻

Yesterday saw our U10G Hawks take part in yet another well organised local tournament held by York R.I Football Club 👏🏻🏆

The girls played brilliantly all day 🙌🏻 closing the opposition down quickly and scoring some worldie goals 🤩 They stuck at it, never giving up and battled to the very end in unusually warm conditions 🥵☀️😎💪🏻

So….. Saturday morning we get a phone call from the organisers of the Flamingoland Football Festival asking if we can get an U11 team out to play on the Sunday to help with tournament fixtures 🙄🤷‍♂️ After a few phone calls and messages we produce the unthinkable! A half & half Old Malton FC & Brooklyn FC squad to produce Malton FC 🤩

School friends and team rivals now suddenly become teammates 🩵💙🫶🏻👏🏻🙌🏻

The boys played some fantastic football this morning with some amazing link up play and some well worked goals between the players.

The tournament certainly had it’s drama with a nail biting semifinal with our keeper Oli producing some ‘Grobbelaar’ esk antics to put the opposition off 🧤😂

On we go to the Plate final and we produce an unbelievable performance taking home the Plate Trophy 🏆🥇💙🩵

Fantastic sportsmanship from all the players and a pleasure to coach 🙌🏻

A huge thanks to both the OM & Brooklyn team, players and parents who stepped in to help and also to our fantastic coaches Pete, Rich, & Mark who made it all happen 👏🏻🏆
