This week, I hopped on a plane to Tenerife, seeking some much-needed rest after a whirlwind year. 🛫

Now, it's all about relaxing with my hubby and reflecting on the incredible journey I've embarked on in the past year.

the goals I set Lisa Johnsonin January to the achievements I've unlocked, and the exciting challenges that lie ahead.

You know, many people have voiced their concerns, saying, 'Sarah, you're going to burn out.' But here's my take on it: life is a canvas, and I'm determined to paint it with all the things I adore ❤️ – helping others achieve their dreams and boosting their self-confidence.

For far too long, I prioritised others' needs above my own.

However, over the last two years, I've shifted that balance. After all, how can I truly help others if my own cup is running on empty?

So, I'm curious, do you ever find yourself in a similar situation? 🤔

What Death teaches you?

So I’m reading a book called the untethered soul & this prompted me to share this today.

It made me reflect on why is it that we stress out about things totally out of our control.

They are normally things that have happened or worrying about things that might happen & I can to this conclusion what a waste of energy & time is this!

All you can do is concentrate on the now as no one knows or has a crystal ball and anything that has happened is in the past and can not be changed.

So what’s death got to do with it?

Death is a part of life that we all must face eventually.

While it may seem daunting and scary, it also teaches us valuable lessons.

It reminds us of the importance of cherishing every moment with our loved ones, and not taking anything for granted.

It teaches us to live in the present and to appreciate the beauty of life.

Death also reminds us that life is fragile, and we should focus on what truly matters.

Let's take these lessons to heart and make the most of our time on this earth.

As we never know when this day will be our last

So take time to recongnise daily moments that bring us joy & peace & stop sweating the small stuff.

Life is just a set of challenges but we can choose how we react to them

What Death teaches us ? So many people worry & stress out about things so what does death teach us and how can we use this in our day to day life ?

Apprenticeships Vs College what does everyone think?
As most of you know apprenticeships are my passion and I believe if employers invest in young people and train them well not only drive the economy but also grow their business.
There is nothing better than having a driven passionate new young person who is hungry for an opportunity to grow their skills as a person and I have been lucky enough to have had some of these youngsters in the time I have been in business (in several different businesses may I add, however, unfortunately, I have also found after 20 years of experience using them apprentices can be abused by employers. Not only that schools & colleges do not promote them enough to young people but also sharing the benefits with their parents. I truly believe this will need to change if
So these are issues I think lead to a bad apprenticeship uptake by young people
1. Young people not seeing the benefits in their pay packet as they develop.
2. The off-the-job hours are not just the responsibility of the training provider but the employer should also be giving them time to work towards the qualification in the workplace to practice the skills they are learning
3. Negative comments constantly by young people being lazy or unmotivated.
4. Parents losing their child benefits or other benefits if they take up an apprenticeship, therefore, encouraging youngsters to go to college or Uni instead of work?
There are definitely other issues but the above are the main ones I have experienced over and over again

The importance of a patch test and why we ALWAYS do one before ANY COLOUR service✨

It is so important to do a patch test before performing any colour service, this isn’t only to protect yourselves but to also protect your client. A patch test is done to make sure that your client isn’t allergic to any of the ingredients in the colour and that it will be safe to use. These need to be kept up to date and if your client hasn’t had a colour service done in the last 6 months then a new patch test needs to be carried out!

To perform the patch test you clean the area (usualy behind the ear or the crease of the arm and then you place a little amount of the product in that area and then leave it for 48 hours to see if you react to it, if there wasn't any reaction then you know that it is safe to go ahead and use that product, if there was a reaction then it is important that you tell your stylist so that they do not use that product.

The size of your round brush is important depending on what you want your outcome to be, wanting more volume at the roots? A larger barrel round brush will be better to use to create that volume.

It’s important to keep the tension tight when using a round brush to blowdry! This is to reduce the frizz and have more control over the hair.
